Long before you and I were born, others beat these benches with their empty cups,
To the night and its stars, to the here and now with who we are.

Another sunrise with my sad captains, with who I choose to lose my mind,
And if it's all we only pass this way but once, what a perfect waste of time.

                              "The Hand of God"

I wouldn't list it as a favorite, but I enjoyed the show. One of the problems with a large cast of characters is that some of them tend to get underused. I felt that was the case here. And, while I appreciate flawed characters, the ones here tend to take leave of their senses a little too easily. But, I loved the effort the writers put in to create a progressing story arc for the series and maintain continuity. It seems quite a few shows tried to do that in the '70s.
