X-Files' downfall and eventual departure from the airwaves left a void in the sci-fi/horror segment of network TV. Last year, the emergence of the highly successful Lost re-opened the doors and has led to an influx of sci-fi related shows this season.
One such show is CBS' Threshold, which debuted last week. The show has a strong buzz so far and boasts an excellent pedigree including co-creators Brannon Braga, who is best known for Enterprise and one of feature film's biggest screenwriters, David Goyer, who recently wrote and directed Blade Trinity, wrote the beloved Batman Begins and is at work on the script for The Flash.
The cast of Threshold includes Carla Gugino, Brian Van Holt, Brent Spiner, Robert Patrick Benedict, Peter Dinklage and Charles S. Dutton.
IGN FilmForce spent some time in the Threshold editing room as well as on the sets. Leading the tour were Goyer and Braga, who both have high hopes for the new program.
