                        MAJOR S2 SPOILER!
                        Spoiler:
"In one of the early episodes of the second series, Ianto has a meltdown in the Hub one night, for reasons far too complicated to go into here, but if you've seen it, you'll know. I have to admit it's one of my favourite episodes to date. Anyway, while Jack comforts Ianto, he shifts from innocent consolation to a full-on, passionate embrace and kiss.
Gareth and I assumed 'the position' and went for it. The episode's director never called 'cut'. By the time Gareth and I were hitting the two-minute mark, my lips were getting numb and Gareth was getting twitchy.
'You ******!" we both yelled in unison, when we finally realized what was going on and pulled apart."

(((Reefgirl))) Maybe watching the epi you'll learn how to deal with the situation at your workplace. Hmm, after giving it more thoughts and knowing TW, you will more probably learn how not to deal with it.

There were 2 mentions of Torchwood in this week's Entertainment Weekly (US magazine).

First in the "Must List - 10 Things We Love This Week":
"Torchwood, Season 1 on DVD. Imagine The X-Files if Mulder swung both ways, and you'd get this alien-chasing, bi-curious Doctor Who spin-off. Season 2 hits Jan. 26, so experiment now."

And then in the "What to Watch" section for Sunday" (spoilered just in case, but no real new information about the season premiere ep)
                            Spoiler:

"You know this <i>Dr. Who</i> spin-off aims to please when the return of Capt. Jack Harkness (John Barrowman) isn't even the big news. Buffy alum James Marsters guests as Capt. John, a "Time Agent" (best not to ask) who's also Jack's shady ex. John spins a dubious story about needing to find toxic canisters, while Jack's main concern is reconnecting with his team. (There are apologies to be made when you abandon your crew for a time-traveling booty call.) With John adding such a fun, unhinged element, it's a shame these two crazy kids broke up in the first place." Grade: A-

(((Switch))) "if Mulder swung both ways"?! Priceless. Nice find BTW.

So what do we know about the second episode apart from the fact that in UK it airs this Wednesday?

                              Episode 2x02 Sleeper
                              Spoiler:
                              BBC synopsis:
"When a burglary turns into a slaughter, Torchwood suspect alien involvement, Who is Beth, and can she be as innocent as she seems? However, when the investigation escalates into a city-wide assault, Captain Jack realises that the whole planet is in danger."

                              From SFX magazine:
"Ep 2 Sleeper - Written by James Moran, Directed by Colin Teague. Nikki Amuka-Bird guest stars in this episode.
Script editor Brian Minchin tipped us off about James Moran, having seen his movie Severance. This is James's fast, funny and thrilling first television script."

                              From digiguide:
"The critics have been slightly uneasy about this second episode of the second series of Torchwood. Described by some as a "enjoyable, but rather silly episode", others feel that the story starts off with the best of intentions, but veers - with scenes of torture - into schlock territory."

                              From Radio Times:
"The story wants to be meaningful but slaps down on the side of schlock, so what begins as an intense and claustrophobic mystery ends with violent pandemonium."

                              Promo piccies (spoilers):
                              Spoiler:

                              Spoiler:

Funny report on the episode by Digital Spy. They put together 9 spoilers about the episode; 8 of them are facts, 1 is a red herring, and you have to figure out which one it is.
                              Spoiler:
"Here's a few spoilers about the best Torchwood episode to date, a tale packed with horror, paranoia, pathos and an overwhelming sense of mystery. See if you can suss out the red herring spoiler from the following facts about 'Sleeper'. We won't give too much away this week, as certain elements of the story are best not known in advance.

                              1. A seemingly normal woman called Beth is at the centre of the bizarre slaughter of a couple of burglars.
                              2. A lot of savage things happen to the right forearms of certain people.
                              3. Jack unleashes his new chat up line: "You should come round to my house for a game of hockey sometime."
                              4. One of the characters utters the immortal line: "It's just a mind probe!"
                              5. There is a strong implication that Jack and Ianto have already slept together.
                              6. Something horrible happens involving a pram.
                              7. Captain Jack encounters a man called Gray, who was his former boss at the now defunct Time Agency and is angry that Jack stole both his money and his wife.
                              8. Owen appears to be a fan of Murder, She Wrote. The TV show, not the dodgy Chaka Demus and Pliers song.
                              9. A Weevil called Janet appears in the episode."

Lot of these were confirmed as facts by the trailers (YouTube links in the above post). I bet that the made up spoiler is no. 7, IMO it's too soon for writers to reveal the identity of the mysterious Gray/Grey
