I have "Timescape" on in the background right now. The smiley face still cracks me up and creeps me out at the same time. I had a sig of that scene last year in honour of this episode."Captain, you almost make me believe in luck."

ENT episode "Cogenitor"
I thought this was a good episode, although sad.
It's really a shame. Since this is the era of space travel really starting for humans, they didn't have any real good moral judgment on situations like this.
The captain didn't allow the alien to remain on the ship, even though she asked. This action lead to her death in the end.
They make this episode out to appear that Reed is in the wrong, but it's really Archer who made the bad call in the end. How can you knowingly let someone go back to a "slave like" life?
If this situation had happened on any of the other trek shows, you know the captains would fight for the person/alien wanting the freedom. If anyone mentions the VoY episode with neelix/tuvok, I really will hurt someone
I don't watch Enterprise much, but this episode always sticks out to me.
They should really have laid down some laws for these captains before setting them loose in the galaxy.Last edited by Alan Wake; 17 June 2009, 10:36 PM.

You mean Trip, not Reed.
Trip was wrong for getting involved, IMHO. It's the same example we saw with Trip and T'Pol in 'Broken Bow' with the alien mother who Trip thinks is hurting her child while, in fact, she's actually weening him onto breathing oxygen. They can't go around making judgments about other cultures based on what pertains for humans.
Watch 'Dear Doctor' and let me know what you think of that moral problem.sigpic

Bashir! Data's dreaming! How could I have missed Birthright pt 1 the first time around? Brilliant!
Seeing the setup in part 1 reminded me that I've already seen part 2, but I'll watch it again tonight just because.sigpic
