Remember: No threats of violence! Although at this point, it'd be more like euthanasia.
I do think that ENT and SGU are similar... if only for being known as the series that ended their respective TV franchises.sigpic
More fun @ Spoofgate!

How awesome would it be if we could put together and launch a real sci-fi channel....that actually showed science fiction"A society grows great when old men plant trees, the shade of which they know they will never sit in. Good people do things for other people. That's it, the end." -- Penelope Wilton in Ricky Gervais's After Life

I don't know if it's the horrible writing -- lame concept - or bad acting that is dragging SGU and the Stargate franchise in to the abyss. Other than the lady medic who lost her kid and Chloe - I just don't care about any of these characters. The fat nerd-kid is a horrible actor (I cringe every time he opens his mouth), the rest of the cast is decent enough, but hardly interesting.

But as he made more appearances on the show, the USO angle fit him very well. I thought, "Well, there's a war on, and they need somebody to help out with morale." I was reminded of some of Bob Hope's appearances in military footage especially with The Siege of AR-558 and It's Only a Paper Moon. Military history has been a great interest of mine since I was a boy and Bob Hope had a certain niche with US troops and the USO in the past. Vic, in a very futuristic way, filled the same niche.

All this talk about Vic has motivated me into rewatching His Way tonight. I just have to wait until the wife falls asleep so I can have control of the television.
