Exclusive: 'Smallville' vet takes flight on 'Sight'
Ex-Smallville shutterbug Aaron Ashmore has landed a recurring role on USA Network’s In Plain Sight, sources confirm to me exclusively. The erstwhile Jimmy Olsen will play the smart yet rough-around-the-edges long-lost half brother to Mary (Mary McCormack) and Brandi (Nichole Hiltz). He attempts to reconnect with his sibs and discuss their shared father.
Ashmore will debut during the latter half of Sight’s current third season
Smallville fans -- and make no mistake, there are a lot of them -- were relieved when the CW announced that the show, having proven itself on Friday nights in what was considered to be a death slot, had been renewed for a 10th season. But now the show's dropping ratings could have the network changing its mind.
The Hollywood Reporter's Live Feed notes, "The veteran drama has held up so well on Friday nights earlier this season, but the past few weeks the show has been in a free fall. Smallville (1.9 million viewers, 0.7 preliminary adults 18-49 rating) was averaging about a 1.4 back in February. Since it came back from a brief March hiatus, the series has dropped to 1.0, then a 0.8 last week, and now a 0.7 -- Melrose Place territory. And that's with CBS and Fox airing repeats and NBC running a movie. It's almost as if relieved fans stopping watching the show (or, at least, stopped watching the show on Fridays) as soon as they heard it was renewed."
Well considering the episode they chose to come back with, it was lucky to get a 1.0. I hate to see the drop off though. I thought this last one was pretty good.

I hate to see the drop too. Hopefully, things can turn around.

Exclusive: 'Smallville' baddie in talks for Syfy's 'Being Human' remake
Multiple sources confirm to me exclusively that ex-Smallville‘s evildoer Sam Witwer (a.k.a. Doomsday) is the odds-on favorite to play vampire Aidan in Syfy’s in-the-works U.S. remake of the U.K. supernatural dramedy Being Human. A final decision is expected later this week.
Additionally, Ricky Mabe (Beautiful People), Sam Huntington (Cavemen), and Aaron Ashmore (Smallville) are in the running to play werewolf Josh, and Meaghan Rath (The Assistants) is up for the role of ghost Molly.

Yeah...but this is a Smallville Thread. Not really the place to debate ins and outs of American television.
