I always feel bad for him in the flashback scene where he injects Helen with the Source Blood. He get's that little sad/hurt look that he has to share Helen's hand holding with John.

Agreed. I think it shows a lot more love and trust to be the one sticking her with the needle than holding her hand afterward.

But in a way that scene isn't so bad if you think about it. She only trusted Nikola injecting her with the source blood and not John

Ya know, now that I think about it, it does show a lot more trust. I still say that Nikola was slightly irked that he had to share.
