EvilRegal fan here as well! I adore regina in all her incarnations. I am really looking forward to seeing her chew the scenery in season six as the EVIL QUEEN totally. The costuming is also amazing!

I agree with Major Fischer- she obviously has specific movements for specific magic.

I haven't been on Gateworld in .... a very long time. Not since I gave up midway through Atlantis. But for some reason I've recently become completely obsessed with Once.

And I think most of it is because of Regina. I watched the first season as it aired, and the second on and off, but never picked up on the third one until I mainlined the entire series again recently. Lana Parrilla has become one of my favorite actresses ever, right up there with Amanda Tapping. Not only is she beautiful and great fun to watch, but you can tell she thinks very hard about her craft. She's played by my count something like 7 distinct versions of Regina, and due to the nonlinear storytelling she may be called on to play any one of those versions at any time.

What completely impresses me though is how subtle she can be. Small facial movements, and eyes. Just look at the scenes with Snow in "Bleeding Through". Yet at the same time she can chew the scenery with the best of them (anyone else really wish you could see her act with James Spader?). But this is going to sound weirdest of all. I love her hand movements when she performs magic. I'm absolutely convinced that she's mapped out a system for what different kinds of spells require, from throwing fire balls to directing energy, to controlling someone with their heart. It's just a level of professionalism that is so impressive.

I loved Regina ever since she walked through the doors in the pilot. I'm usually drawn into villains. It makes me think about what they went through in their pasts.
Regina's backstory was actually tragic. And it also pains me to think about it because it also makes me think about when she was married to Leopold. And I didn't like that she was basically forced to marry him.

Not to mention what other things happened to her during those times. I mean... just think about the disgusting/painful time it was on her wedding night... and any other night after. *shivers* That just has my heart breaking even more for her.

Yes indeed and she got to play in her one favorite fairytale Hansel and Gretel. But she is really perfect fot the role she is playing in OUAT.
I love the most that you can see the backstory from the most caracters. How they become what they are right now. How Regina and Rumple become evil and why Snow and Regina hating each other. And now we need to wait for a couple of months before the 4th season aired. I hate wating and i'm not good in it. *tries to build some patience and is watching some other shows where Lana played in* O well there are some shows i need to see so i hope that the time flies XD.

Another thing I love is when she "played" Ursula in here. Lana's always loved Ursula and it's great she got to be her

Well i'm a Evil Regal to, Loved her from the beginning and i love how she is growing/changing so to speak. I love how Lana played both caracters and does some very small things to make them different from each other. So yeah kinda hooked up one the show and the actress ^^.

I've been one since the show began. She was/is a great villain.. Though I do really like her redemption path.

And I'm quite thrilled that she has light magic now.

I've been noticing a couple of TV commercials recently that are "narrated" by a woman. And I'm almost 100% sure that it's Lana doing the narrating. Every time I hear/see it, I'm that much more sure it's her.

I didn't care much for Regina at first. As time has gone by, though, my liking for her has been increasing, and this year I've been finding myself wishing she was given more to do than she has gotten.

i've noticed she's really not had that much to do this season... so i'm wondering if they're saving it up b/c she'll have much more later on? i hope so!

if i were given the series to write as a want, i'd rework it to make it *starring* regina and rumple, with the other characters as a side dish. it could basically be about the redemption of two ppl that went dark side and didn't know how to get out.

^That would be a cool series.


I love Regina, she's my favorite character on the show. Rumple is awesome too.
