Question: Have we seen the last of Charlie on Fringe? —Kevin
Ausiello: Exec producer Jeff Pinkner isn’t ruling a comeback out. “We’ve already met Charlie’s doppelganger in the alternate reality,” he says. “He still exists.” Adds fellow e.p. J.H. Wyman: “No one ever really dies on Fringe.” BTW, Pinkner insists the exit of Kirk Acevedo’s G-man was strictly a creative decision and not a reflection on the actor himself (despite that whole Facebook debacle). “We wanted to take our team out of the FBI office and a little bit more underground,” he says, “and Charlie was a [casualty] of that.”

Question: Will we meet Olivia’s evil stepfather on Fringe this season? —Zakaria
Ausiello: “We’re talking about it,” responds Jeff Pinkner. “We definitely have been talking about that.”

Question: What happened to the new female FBI agent on Fringe? I thought she was sticking around all season. —Chris
Ausiello: According to Pinkner, Special Agent Jessup (Meghan Markle) is waiting in the wings and may pop up again in the future: “There was never any length of time [assigned to her stay],” he says. “There’s no end date. She’s an available tool in our toolbox and we’ll use her as we see fit. [But] we’re really trying to tell stories about our main characters… we want to get deeper with them, so we don’t have a lot of time to go into the FBI. I think our fans really want to get to know our [core] characters more and that’s what we’re endeavoring to do this year.”

Sebastian Roché to play villain on Fringe

Former Odyssey 5 and Beowulf star Sebastian Roché has joined the cast of Fringe as a recurring villain.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Roché will be replacing Kretschmann, who was seen as a super spy from the other universe in the fourth episode, Momentum Deferred. However Roché was separately seen in that episode, so he may be fulfilling the same plot function rather than playing the same role.

Question: When, if at all, will Peter realize he doesn’t belong in this dimension on Fringe? — JSL
Ausiello: I ran this query by executive producer Jeff Pinkner, who responded, “Clearly part of the tension of this season is that the audience knows more about Peter than Peter knows about himself and we will continue to play that tension.” Or, to put it in the words of Massive Dynamic’s legal division, “No comment.”

Personally, I am hoping by mid-season. Of course, they may choose to hold on to that realization until later.

                    Leonard Nimoy to quit 'Fringe'?

Leonard Nimoy has claimed that he may quit appearing on Fox series Fringe.

The 78-year-old told the Los Angeles Times that he is considering leaving the sci-fi programme, produced by Star Trek director J.J. Abrams.

"I've done three appearances for them. I don't know if I will do a fourth," he said.

Nimoy plays William Bell on the show, the mysterious founder of the Massive Dynamic corporation. He last starred on the October 8 episode.

The actor did not cite a specific reason for his possible departure, but added: "I don't know yet what plans they have for really developing a dramatic story for the character. I'm waiting for a conversation about that. I think they're talking amongst themselves now so they can present some kind of plan, a story arc of some kind."

This Thursday's ep is about Broyles (Lance Reddick's character), and when the gang revisits a shadow killer case from four years ago, we learn that he chose Fringe Division over his marriage four years ago, and has lived to regret it.

Any scoop on Fringe? I'm dying to see more of "over there." — Vic
MICKEY: Lance Reddick himself told me that "over there" Broyles is different in a fundamental way: He's a happily married man. What's that — you didn't realize Broyles was divorced? Well, after Thursday's episode, you will. And you'll also know why.
