      Fair enough.

      Thanks.
Science Fiction is an existential metaphor; it allows us to tell stories about the human condition.

Isaac Asimov once said individual science fiction stories may seem as trivial as ever to the blinder critics and philosophers of today, but the core of science fiction, its essence has become crucial to our salvation if we are to be saved at all.

It'll be back next week though. Still, it does suck that it won't be on this Tuesday.

Everyone remember this day. It's the day I predicted that that vibrator thing will have something to do with Nikola Tesla. That is all.

Sooner or later everything is linked back to Nikola Tesla. He is everyone's favourite pseudo-science inventor!

What does everyone think of this?

First episode had promise but second was a bit of a let down.
                Thats what I thought anyway
I dunno what to put in here now..

Just so you know, there is a thread already on this show.

Personally, I like Fringe so far. I really missed it not being on last week, and really look forward to it's return Tuesday night.

It wasn't the best episode so far, but it did have some really great moments.

Best line (so far) from The Cure:
                        Spoiler:
                        (regarding "Mr. Papaya")

Dr. Bishop: This is upsetting, cuz he is the friendliest of fruits.

                        ROTFLMAO!!! Oh that JN!

                        WALLACE: And if I don't?

I like the show but it seems like that crazy guy is trying to hard and that chick is trying to hard to be mad. But I say after the first season the actors will be more comfortable.

Although the plots waver between thin and dodgy at times... but I'm sufficiently entertained by the father-son dynamic to keep persevering.

I can't help being constantly surprised at how good Joshua Jackson is in the role of Peter Bishop. I'm hoping (and there's no reason to think otherwise) that he'll move on to bigger and better things other than being his father's translator and babysitter.

On the other hand, I'm not very impressed with the way Olivia is drawn thus far... too many mood swings for my liking... and yet another brilliant detective person with a dysfunctional background. *Yawn*

I'm also surprised how good Joshua is in his role. His character is a good foil to his father. The stories - not super grabbing me yet, but I'm still watching.
