Okay, this might sound off topic and totally dorky, but I was thinking of framing the autograph I got from AT while at Dragon Con. I have the frame, but I've heard that sometimes these kinds of glossy photographs can stick to the glass faces of frames...

Does anybody have any experience with framing these kinds of photos, with the sharpie on them? I figured someone on here might know better than the people I heard the warning from...

Not for SG-1. This was a photoshoot she did for something else. Exactly what escapes me at the moment.

it was for a spooky show she hosted once, called, 'Proof Positive: Evidence of the Paranormal'. it was done in 2004

That's not a comic book. That is SFX magazine. A British publication centered on sci-fi TV and movies. They have stories about SGU, Iron Man, Thor, Doctor Who, Torchwood, etc.

All these pictures makes me realize that I didn't really know what color her eyes were. I always just think Sam had blue eyes, but AT's look a hazely grey. Any other opinions on what to call her eye color?

They're blue to me!

It could be the lighting or whatever she's wearing may be altering your perception of them. Sounds weird, but it's true. My eyes shift between green and blue depending on where I am and what I'm wearing (or so I'm told. I've never witnessed it myself, for obvious reasons. :D ).

My parents always said eyes like that are called hazel. Mine usually look green, but in the sunlight they blue out a bit. I think that's what hers are, I swear I've seen them as both, and somewhat grey as well. Variety is the spice of life, eh? ;)

Indeed! It amazes me! Hence part of the draw of Sanctuary. There's that little part of me that wonders "what if there are these amazing and fantastical creatures out there? not too big of a leap, given the diversity of the natural world..."

And as for hazel (which for me has always implied that there is significant amounts of brown, or distinct color bands, in the iris... but I know not everyone sees eye to eye on that one [pun TOTALLY intended]), it's a very loose term. Most times I refuse to use it, even though I technically could be a hazel. After a while, I ended up asking people what colors my eyes are. So even though I have some brown around the pupil, the most common answer was "blue" so that's what's on my driver's license. I reserve hazel for those eyes have no predominant coloring, and I'm hard-pressed to single out any one color...

Wow. This got long-winded. Oops. Must mean it's getting late then :) as you can see, I've put a lot of thought into it over the years...

Glad you put thought into it. I just looked at the wiki on eye color. So, it would be accurate to say my eyes are hazel (though my license says green) because I have a thin ring of brown around the pupil. The middle is pretty green, but by the time you get to the outer edge they are blue. I don't think AT can be called hazel at all. (Which is odd because I often come away with the impression that Helen's eyes are brown. Can't figure that one.) I'm going to go with "blueish grey with a slight touch of green". And I'm gonna need a word for that.

AT has blue eyes, although I have to admit they sometimes look a bit greyish (especially in the later seasons of Stargate) and they definitely look less stunning blue in Sanctuary, but that's probably because of different makeup and hair color.

Yeap, They got to NBC Experience Store around 9:30 AM EST. So that is 6:30 Amanda time. So what time to get up for hair/makeup/transportation? And they took the red-eye flight to NY on Wed PM/Thur AM.

No! I think it's the bangs... they're to the right (for her) instead of the left, and less full. Plus her hair (and eyebrows) look lighter.

I wasn't merely looking at her eyes, although she does seem a bit tired, it was just the overall picture.

Yeah, the makeup is a bit different too... I think there is actually less color on her face than we are used to seeing.

Yes! Not so much eye shadow (or a lighter color) and liner as we're used to from Magnus and her lipstick is pinker.

See, they're smart. I like that they mentioned her charity work. That's huge. I mean, I know a lot of celebs do charity work, but so often it seems like a PR stunt. Very rarely are they so intimately involved like AT is.

^^^First - very cool getting the Sanctuary bra! I like the green color - it makes me think of the green screen they always use.

I don't know how much Amanda is in Uprising (season 4 episode 2), because the episode has not been made available on iTunes yet. I'm not always home to watch Sanctuary when it airs and I can't seem to remember to tape the show (I don't have TiVo or DVR), so the last couple of years I've been buying the season pass on iTunes. Last week I had the season premiere downloaded before 7:30am on Saturday morning. I've been checking ALL DAY LONG and I do not have the latest Sanctuary episode. Been watching the Getting To Know Amanda Tapping and Amanda & Robin at the SyFy Digital Press Tour to keep me going.

Cool bra! I wonder if they did the green screen theme on purpose... :)

Also, did you notice that AT signed closest to where the wearer's heart would be? Don't ask me why *I* noticed that. It started out with "oh, three people signed that side, while only two signed the other side", went to "huh, her 'a' in Tapping looks weird", to "you know, if you wore this when you said the pledge of allegiance..."

My mind is *so* weird when it gets tired. Bounces off walls in alarming fashion...
