So by that definition a 80 year old on death row for multiple murders is more wise then a law abiding 30 year old

No, you missed the second part of the equation - experience. Just having lived does not equate to experience which has taught one life lessons. The 80 year old did not learn life lessons, evident by the fact that he a) was so foolish as to commit an act worthy of a life sentence (even murder does not mean a life sentence if it was committed in the heat of the moment) and b) was also unable to avoid the severity of punishment (like los says don't get caught or more appropriately employ the legal system to minimize it)

Just by having age and lived thier is experence. With age comes experence regardless of the moral judgement of the experence

I put no moral construct on it. One may commit a serious crime without an extensive sentence for the reasons stated. Like I said, even murder does not merit it if done out of the heat of the moment. However, failure to internalize societal values and norms is evidence of a lack of learning all-important life lessons. Without norms, a society cannot function, humans do not know how to interact. Norms establish what is appropriate, not necessarily moral, behavior.

Age, the mere existence of the passage of time on a human body, does not mean that one has learned anything. Socialization, internalization of values and norms as well as a society's culture (language, foods, history, and so forth), is evidence of life lessons. Failure to completely internalize these results in deviant behavior.

Wow - too serious for this thread!

Experence does not equate to learning something. It just means you have seen something

wrong - you frequently "see" something and do not note it. Think of driving - you pass thousands of things as you go along - you see them, yet you do not note their existence - they are unimportant to you. When you experience something, you must note it and therefore your brain files a memory, i.e. it has "learned" something.
