Isn't he filming a guest appearance for the season ender of SGU? I read something about that in the last few days.

I just got an email update from Kate R. Went to the RDA site. Yes, he's in town to film and for a short bike tour for fun.

Besides the note on Kate's RDA site, there's also been these mentions in JM's blog and John Lenic's twitter...

To those of you asking, I can neither confirm nor deny the presence of Richard Dean Anderson on the lot. However, in the event I was to confirm it (which I’m not), I’d say he was in great spirits yesterday when he joined us for lunch in the writers’ room – joking away, his charming old self, simply happy to be back. IF he is back. Also, in the event he has returned for a guest spot(s), it’s possible he could have started shooting his scenes today.

You know, I must admit that I really REALLY don't want to watch Stargate Universe....but, being the loyal hussy that I am, now I must because GOSH! if Mala's going to go through all the trouble to post such lickable likable pictures of our beloved...well, you how in the universe can I resist?

Ohh, those are angles you don't get in the actual episode!

I can't say I'm surprised... Of course, a lot of promo pics aren't what you see in the actual episode since they're shot by a photographer on the set and not always taken from the same point of view as the film/video camera. But as I've mentioned before, the MGM galleries aren't always accurate in their labeling of behind-the-scenes pics and episode pics either.

Oh, don't tell me. Just like with Continuum and angsty S/J promo pics?

I hated that too! That scene from Continuum was shot so close up for the movie that it just didn't have the same impact for me as looking at the promos.

Both of these caps are from the same scene in DEATH KNELL. On screen you see Jack kneel next to Jacob...

and then the camera cuts to an extreme close-up of Jack's face.

But you never see a shot of Jack in the show like the one Nell posted above and in the larger versions below.

Btw, this one could be considered a behind-the-scenes promo because you can see he's kneeling on a mat.

I liked how RDA/Jack was facing the camera, but I didn't like the extra stuff at the bottom, so I zatted out Jacob's hand holding the weapon and that mat...

And a lot of those pics the MGM site says are from 'Air' aren't in that episode . . . very interesting.

Must be a behind the scenes shot. There isn't anything even remotely similar to this in 'Air'. I love the shot, tho!
