Need Help Cleaning LCD Monitor

I have noticed mainly at night lots of really small flying insects
that seem to get attracted to my LCD Computer screen... Mainly
to where there is a bright area of white like these forum pages or
other bright areas..... This is going to sound silly but what are
these little buggers?

Also where my wndow is I get some evening sun on my screen and
have noticed lots of little splotches on the screen.. I'm wondering if
the bugs mentioned above were the cause and what is ecommended
to clean an LCD screen properly?
