...aside from the fact that one can contains something like 3 quarters of your daily sugar intake? It might even be more, I don't recall. I think a can of root beer is supposed to have 9 teaspoons of sugar in it... which is totally not good for your body.

Oh, and the carbonation is supposed to wreak merry havoc on your bones. I view pop/soda as a treat. Something you really shouldn't be drinking, but on special occasions it's okay. Kind of like potato chips. And chocolate bars. Junk food in general.
