Thoughts Pre watching the episode. I remember when I watched this months ago, during my first foray in FS, I was not impress. The story line, while good to show how John is alien to this world thrust upon him, by meeting (crashing) upon an alien world that doesn't not seem to be aware of other life in this FS galaxy is interesting. But that's a far as I go. I just did not feel the episode at all.

Now I go to watch again: *presses play* Play by play commentary.

I like how we get more info on Moya. Because she really is a major character. They all depend on her to live and vise versa. Also nice with JA bumbling crash sequence and no personal space. Nice.

I liked their talk right before they leave Moya. It's still bantery and playful, but it still has depth. They are the same in some way, both homless and trying to find their place.

Back to Moya. Poor Zaahn. and look at Rygel all caring and fumbling. *cough*Rodney*cough* I'm sorry but I won't be able not to see the comparison from here on out.

Dude! Rygel bites! Rodney doesn't - *whew*. And boy Aeryn so wanting to kick his arse. (Totally get the scene in PKWs now!)

I like the little bonding moments. I love how you see Aeryn's slow growth too.

So I know it's supposed to be the resolving action sequences but dude, kinda meh. Hehe. Aww, lets shake hands. Cute.

I liked how they left. Not too messy, just messy enough, just not for them. The goodbye was cute too.

Moya is bleeding!! Save Moya! Save Moya!!! And Rygel does it! Like RM just in the nick of time. Aeryn, you rock. Not trying to show your relief, but still can't help it.

Heh. Aeryn is so cute. And John. "Not that rock." Layers, people, layers.

Okay end note: The episode not the best, and really it was the moments in Moya that interested me more, but it was a good way of showing how John is an outsider, and alien to this world. All in all not bad for a second episode.
