Addy: Her graduate studies are in biophysics with an emphasis on genetics. I believe her teaching schedule this semester will include an undergraduate level biochemistry course. *smiles*

ECVala: I do not understand how that system works at all.
ECam: Kali's professor has her teach certain classes for him as a part of working on her graduate degree.
ECVala: But he is the one with the office, the paycheck, the name on the class schedule.
ECam: Kali will get paid for her teaching time. It will help to offset the cost of her tuition.
ECVala: It still makes no sense to me.
