Sounds like my friend's reaction to her 3-year-old's gash under her chin. She was a brave little toaster (like in the old cartoon, NOT the Cylon kind ) and only after they got back from the hospital and everyone was asleep did it really hit my friend. She got the shakes that night, too.

Yea, we probably would have taken him to the doctor if he hadn't of waited
until it was closed to go get himself hurt. But it didn't look too bad after it was cleaned, and so we didn't go spend all night and $600 at the emergency room. It looks great now. Just like a scratch.
