                    But now I come to think about it, me and my mates used to do something vaguely similar on skateboards when we were kids.

                    We'd go up to the top of a particularly steep local hill (the start point being a war memorial), and see who could get to the shops at the very, very bottom of the street without stopping, or getting run over by a car.

                    This is what we did for fun back in the 70s y'know. There was no daytime TV in them days. No internet either. Or DVDs. No mobile phones either.
