I was wondering whether or not we were going to see Nate's funeral in this episode. I know Sammy must be falling to pieces at the moment.
I met somebody about 2 years ago whose partner was shot investigating a disorderly conduct report. The partner didn't die but the incident sure did change the person I met. He became colder, harder—almost like Cooper—and very distant.

I was a little surprised and unsure of Julia Stiles being (one of) the big guests this season, but I ended up being really impressed with how good she was at being the traumatized rape victim. Her story was....a quite a bit reminiscent of those rape exploitation movies in the 70s like I Spit On Your Grave, but it was still well executed.
And Peter Weller, wow. What a phenomenal character and a phenomenal performance.
