I just watched Serpent's Lair, part 1, and remembered why I didn't bother to watch the series years ago when it was on terrestrial TV even though I've seen the whole lot since on Sky, bought all the box sets, etc. and it is my favourite sci fi franchise. But that episode = very gloomy and very little plot.
