Win tickets to Creation's Minneapolis convention!

I've been a Stargate fan for several years, with Atlantis being my favorite. Atlantis started a few weeks before I started school, leaving my husband, house, and cat to live 3 hours away on my own. My husband and I took turns commuting to see each other on the weekends, and we always ended the long journey by relaxing on the couch with our Stargate Atlantis (and SG-1, when new episodes were airing). Even when we couldn't get together, we would watch Atlantis while talking on Skype so we could share the experience. Stargate became "comfort food"...Atlantis was something that brought us closer together during the tough years of forced separation. When Atlantis ended (not too long after I graduated and returned home for good), it signified the end of a very important chapter in our lives.

While we can afford the travel expenses, we are unable to afford both the travel expenses and the convention tickets. My husband and I would love to go to the Convention to relive and rekindle the special anticipation and excitement we feel when watching Stargate shows! Plus, it would be a fantastic anniversary gift for my husband, who spent 3 long years paying the bills, taking care of the house, and providing emotional support for me...June 14th is our 7 year anniversary and I can think of no better gift than tickets to this Convention.

I have been a fan of Stargate for years. I started watching SG1 when it went to SciFi. While I think all three shows are great, SG1 is my favorite and I think SGU has a ton of promise to be great.

Now I live in Missouri, but I would fly up there in a heart beat to meet those guys (and ladies).

The reason why I should have the tickets is:
The conventions are never near Long Island, NY. They are mostly done in places such as California or Georgia. I've always wanted to go to one, but have never been able to. If I win the tickets to Minneapolis I can actually drive there specially now that I have a license. Am a huge fan I own all the seasons to all the shows, can't wait to buy SGU 1.5. I would be the happiest and luckiest person in the world if I won.

Like everyone else, I am a big fan of Stargate. I'm also close enough to go to Minneapolis on short notice and would love to go there again (been way too long). Besides, I have only been to one Creation event and it was not the best experience. This would allow them the chance to show me things have changed for the better and win me over as a future attendee.

I'm a huge Stargate fan, I actually got better grades in my astronomy class because my teacher referenced Apophis one day and I went up to him after and started geeking out about Stargate, after that my test grades seemed to get better and better. I live close to MN and have always wanted to go to a Stargate convention, it is by far my favorite TV show and I've just never had the money to go before, so if I win this and get to meet David Hewlett I would be super pumped. So I don't really have any special reason why I should be chosen to go, but I tell funny stories and I have dragons on my glasses, booyah.

I would like to win the convention tickets for myself and my daughter. We live in the mountains of montana. We only get one tv station and don't even have a mail man. We do own all the SG-1 dvd's and we watch them over and over and over and....well, you get the idea. We farm everyday 1,000 ac. In our spare time we Stargate. About 2 years ago I found out that at the age of 40 I have Macular Degeneration. I am losing my sight. I now take the time to see all that I can. I have never been to a convention of sorts and if there is a stargate there I would love to see it. My daughter jokes with me and says that when I die she is going to have put on my head stone, "On going off world activation."

I've wanted to go to a stargate convention for a long time, but there has never been one close. while this isn't too close, my grandparents live in Minneapolis, so I could stay with them If I were to win, this would be the perfect time for me to make it to a convention.

Well, I've been a fan of Stargate since SG-1 aired, I own all the DVDs, and I have been DYING to go to a convention, but I'm from the Canadian East coast, and it has been way too expensive for a poor student like myself to afford to attend one!
This would be an amazing way to top off the summer!!
And I know exactly who I would take with me, we've been close friends forever, and I'm pretty sure she'd be speachless for the first time ever!

A con? Close to home? Yes, I'd like to go! I've never been to a convention before, and I've always wanted to--been jealous of those who've had a chance to go because I hear it's fun. I would love to be able to finally attend my first Stargate Con. My wife has never been to any sort of convention and we're finally both caught up to all the Stargate series. The amount of money has always been a factor as well, and if we win that would be a huge burden off being able to afford it. Thanks for doing this!

I would love to say that I can give anyone a rational explanation as to why I should be the one to win, but I can't; I just want to win the tickets. I rarely do anything except work & even during Dragon*Con, I volunteer my time; I've never been to a con just to be there. Also, if I were to go to Minneapolis for the con, I would take some additional time to see family in the area that I haven't seen in over a decade.

I myself have been a huge fan of Stargate since the 4th season of SG-1, and have never missed an episode since then. I love all 3 series, have both SG1 and Atlantis box sets, and have gotten my fiancee into the series, she hasn't missed a single episode either... And Universe came just in time for our now almost 10 month old son, Torren to watch with us every Friday night...
I honestly have always wanted to go to a Stargate convention, but never had the chance, and now hard-pressed for plans for her 21st birthday, I can't think of any greater gift for my fiancee for her birthday, and for us to be able to fully enjoy something together that's been such a great part of lives together.... And she doesn't know I'm applying for this either... I can't imagine a greater gift for her, and me too!!

Stargate(s) are my favorite TV shows and even at my advanced age (74) I enjoy watching my DVDs and attending a convention now and then. I'm not too far away from Minneapolis and would love to win the tickets and meet some folks I haven't met yet and renew acquaintance with some of my friends. I'm up for it!

I love star gate a lot. i have bought the entire sg-1 series. i have also watched all of Atlantis. i wont watch SGU until its done so i can buy it and watch it all at once because i just hate waiting for the next episode to come out. I have never been to a star gate convention before and i really want to. Its been my dream to see the awesome actors that made star gate seem like a reality.

I am a huge SG fan!! Watched all of SG-1 and SG Atlantis, hated to see them both end. Have really gotten into StarGate Universe and don't miss an episode. I have never been to a SG Convention and would love to go and meet everyone. Can't wait for the next episode!
