I haven't been working on anything for a while, I kind got in a slump. I was digging in my parts box and I found a figure I forgot I had, The Master, from Buffy. Had to fix both elbows(were broke when I got it) and I chopped off the hands to give them some articulation. A little paint here and there, a custom knife(Riddick Style) and you have a Wraith Hunter.
I'm pretty happy with it, all though its not my best work. I think I might make a few more accessories for him, like a scanner and custom gun, not sure yet.
Gen. Hammond: "He's really that much worse then the others?"
Jackson: "Well of all the Gods he picked to impersonate, he chose the Devil."

Hey thanks for the compliments guys! I've been a fan of all the work you guys have been doing for some time!
Mcgillonfan, I saw on your site he's going to be in Chicago this weekend for the convention, are you going to be there? I'm only going to be there Saturday as far as I know...Last edited by jwringo1; 21 August 2009, 05:51 AM.

I just saw that I had totally wrong pictures in my previous post about the fixed uniform. So I'm reposting to show you what I actually had intended to show you. Sorry for that.
It still needs name tag and medals yet, but at least he has two stars.
Jack as a whole with changed uniform:
I cut off the breast pockets, and I also cut off the other pockets, only leaving the flap of them, since at the real uniform they are no real pockets at all. I also cut off the fourth button so that there are only three, and I tried to sew the jacket opening into place, so that it would show more of the shirt beneath:
The pant legs were too short, so I made them longer. There was an amount of cloth inside, so I opened the seam and let it out. For the crease not to be seen afterwards, I even ironed them! Imagine those little pants on my big iron board. Now I can say I ironed Jack's pants. Muhaha.
I also added stars. Those are simple stickers which I just painted silver:
The entry that shows this uniform how it originally looked you can find here:

I did not know you could buy a sheet with insignias. That looks wonderful! I thought about printing the name tag etc. on shrinkydink. Hope it works!Last edited by GermanAstra; 24 August 2009, 02:12 PM.Funny pictures with Stargate-Actionfigures at http://dieastra.livejournal.com/

Hey Mooncat, been a fan of your work and collection for a while, so thanks for even saying you're "chin-scratching"! I especially like the Sandtroopers!
The new one you're working on looks like it's gonna turn-out awesome as usual, and you always have great info!
I was just at the Stargate convention in Chicago this weekend, and Gary Jones wants me to make a 1/6 version of him as his character Walter Harriman on the show...
Apparently he's already had his head scanned and cast, so the hardest part is already done, I plan to make a small diarama of him sitting at the dialing computer with different lights, sounds, and him talking, it should be pretty cool!
Dean Haglund also already had his head scanned, and wants me to go ahead with a 1/6 version of his "Lone Gunman" character he played on the X-Files, so that should be pretty cool too!
By the way, was looking at the cap, and I have that one right here, I got it from the "Mitch F-117 pilot" figure, if you decide to throw-in I'd just send it to you.
Well, good luck with the new figure, and if you ever decide you want something from me just say the word!
Thanks,
JohnLast edited by jwringo1; 24 August 2009, 01:53 PM.

If memory serves I got my ringed chainmail from http://www.chainmailconnection.com/
This is apparently from the ringlord
To quote 'Rebel Ape' from OSW
"The rings are made from 24ga stainless steel wire with an inside diameter of 5/64". They came from www.theringlord.com (edit from Mooncat this is also called http://www.chainmailconnection.com/ were I got mine)
The warhammer is a piece I commisioned from our very own OSW weaponsmith Auret. And it is far and away my single most favorite 1/6th scale weapon, ...EVER"Last edited by Mooncat; 26 August 2009, 01:17 AM.

Hullo all, ages ago I said I was planning to work on a few customs. Such a long time ago I have lost track of when!
However, I finally got the final pieces I needed to complete two of them the other week, so here they are... Professor Elizabeth Weir, and Major Laura Cadman!
There is a reason behind the title changes, I'll explain once everyone has had a chance to have a look. Really pleased to get these two done. A third is waiting in the wings...Attached FilesConverting a human body into energy and sending it millions of light years through a wormhole. Bloody insanity!
Come on, how often do you get the chance to go to an alien planet?
I was a'ready on an alien planet!
