The scanner in her hand went insane with readings as the neurons in the biopacks fired seconds before the light came on. "I knew it! It's a feedback loop. The neurons are a larger, more powerful strain of Ancient neural pathways. Your mind initiates the link, the neurons of the biopacks fire just after yours and the linkage brings the light on. The operator works like the brain at the top of the neural pathways of the biopacks." Jen couldn't believe it. "The docs are going to flip when they get here. Could you stay put until somebody higher up gets here to see this?"

"Right. I also want to add some ancient weapons and a low level hyperdrive. Nothing too fancy, but enought to go intersellar. I also want to have some more room for the crew so we are going to have to work with the cockpit. I think we might have to build some new sublight engines, but it will work." Said Harry. "But first I have to work on the sub-light engines here, and then get approval for the work from the general because tearing up one of his X-302's might piss him off."

"Ma'am I would love too, but right now I have a ton of stuff I want to do." Said Harry. "But I could allow others to do some of it for me."

"Sure, but I was going to use a reverse engineered Ancient sublight drive, but that would take a while and I don't know how long it would be."

Isobel made her way into the ship it looked pretty impressive, she stoped and asked someone where the biopacks were and eventually found it, walking in there was some people all ready there,

"So what do we have?" Isobel asked with a smile.

"No Clue Ma'am, but she can tell you." Said Harry still standing on the spot. "Ma'am I am having a field day with all this tech. I already managed to make a new power converter, and I have a ton of plans. I can't wait to tell them to the general."

"Sure, but I was going to use a reverse engineered Ancient sublight drive, but that would take a while and I don't know how long it would be."

''well we could make a tokra drive quicker and beside since the anceint one is made for speed and ours for manouverability when we combine them it would make an impresive drive...''

"That's okay, Lieutenant, but if you know anyone who has the gene and isn't busy, send them to me." Jen squirmed a little farther into the neuron chamber, her BDU-clad legs sticking out, thus ending the discussion. "Good luck with the engine-physics . . .stuff." 'Those center ones are bigger, it's like a central hub! And if they are more of these chambers. I just hope the life sciences head won't be mad about a grunt with a master's diving into work on these.' Jen noticed a large red cell at the center of the white ones in the hub.

"That would be good. I think we could make on sick ship out of this but after the biolgist do their thing meet me in ancient laser array so we can see if we can work with this stuff. "

"Okay Ma'am I don't know anyone else with the gene, and Thanks for the luck." Said Harry "Ragnor let's go to the laser array."

Dr Parker smiled at the soldier who was obviously excited at everything they were finding on the ship. Then went over to the chamber where someone was half in, "So what we got here" she said a little louder so whoever it was in there could hear her.

Jen's voice was muffled by the biopack chamber but clear enough. "They're neurons being used like a high-powered computer relay. I had Lt. Martin turn on that light overhead and observed the neurons. Seconds after he thought it, the neurons fired, the light came on. I think the biopacks are some primitive beginning of the ATA interface. The amount of tissue indicates high input. This was intended to route to hundreds of controlling minds, working like a brain. The users's minds, that is. Colonel Anderson doing it on his own," Jen shook his head. "It's like us flying, dodging, praying, and ejecting within the same second!"

"Yeah let's head up a floor. I want your help on the Ancient laser array." Said Harry who could not wait to get started on the lasers.
