Sorry folks. My muses have been buried under the insanity that is work. Between that and prepping for a Con at the end of the month. It's my part of the project to do screen caps, clean them up, edit them and get them printed.

Once I get finished on the comp at work, then come home and spend hours on the comp to do screen caps, I just want to sit in a really comfy chair and mindlessly watch TV for half an hour before I fall asleep.

I can only say that work is going to get more insane next week because half the office will be out on unpaid leave. That, of course, means I have to take up the slack for my coworker. I just wish, when I'm out, someone would take up the slack for me. I end up coming back to everything I had plus everything that came in while I was gone.
According to management, being forced to take a week off isn't an acceptable reason for not being caught up. *GRRrrrrrrr*
We're doing this in May and June and have been ordered to take at least a week of our vacation time in July so it doesn't all get taken in November and December.

She's probably not going to be posting for a day or two. She's sitting across the room cursing at her hand in the bowl of ice water. Genius forgot that 2 minutes before she'd taken a pan out of the oven and proceeded to grab the handle with her bare hand.

No blisters ... yet. If I judge the appearance correctly, there will be a couple and she's going to shed the skin from all 5 fingers and the palm. *ewwww*

The next few hours will be rotating cold packs and I just got back with some 'cooling burn bandages'. No idea what they do but, we're going to find out.

OWWW! Burnt my finger tips on a stove a couple of years ago so I can advocate for how painful burns are

In my defense, the pan in question is rarely used in the oven and, when used on the stove top, the handle doesn't GET hot. *pout* The really annoying thing - I had the silcone sleeve for pan handles on the counter. Just didn't remember to slip it on the pan. *DOH*

I'm guessing the semi-instant application of icy water was of some benefit. I've only got two little blisters, one on the tip of my pinky and one on the ring finger. No typing with those two. There is an interesting pink pattern on my hand and that skin will peel of in a few days. It doesn't hurt right now unless I get it warm or put too much pressure on it.

Posting will continue this evening.

Burns can be pretty painful. I worked in a fast food restaurant and I accidently dunked one of my fingers into the french fry fryer. Boy, that HURT. It blistered bad and I decided that dunking one's finger in there was a BAD idea.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
A Con and a Holiday weekend are upon me. I'm off work this week and prepping for the Con.
Today (Monday), however, is a yard-work day. Digging up and rebuilding a flowerbed.
Tomorrow is 'doctor day'. Regular doc at 0800, dentist at 1200, hairdresser (not a doc but just as important) at 1500. After that, start packing the bags and boxes and .... stuff that goes to this Con. Thank god we're driving not flying.

I'll be poking my head in, hopefully at least once a day. Bringing the laptop to the Con and they have wireless internet so, I can take it at random intervals, go sit in the lobby and access GW.

I swear it, my work is slowly killing me...

Looks like there won't be a change for the next two weeks either, hopefully when we enter the next period on our scedule it will easy up.
Then, top it off with two *very* pregnant Shetland ponies that needs monitoring a few times every night - thank God for video surveillance from the bedroom - and you might get a picture of my life atm...

I will check in every daily and post as regularly as I can, to keep the insanity away, but if there are no posts, then don't worry, I will be back

Reason (Optional): I got a mid term on the 10th June and dudes, I really haven't studied for it much. Since Office Tax is a snore and total bore, I really need the time to get my brain in order to study for it. I don't wanna fail it....but I don't want to study for it either...so I'm off to kick me own rear to study.....haha!!!

I will try popping in and seeing where I can post when I'm able to run away from reading and memorizing FBT and BAS equations. O.o Equations are URGH! I can't make a head or tails of them but that's besides the point
