'Good a time as any.' Greg stacked his dishes and made a quick excuse to Travis and Tim. "Be right back, we science geeks need to talk computers and converting .txt files to .exe without causing the program to execute itself on the delivery system and other doodles like that."

He walked to the dish window and isolated the silverware into its water tub. He gave a friendly smile to the poor schlub that was on dish washing before walking back where the two SG-7 members were coming over to them. He got the disk out of his cargo pocket, a non-descript CD-RW in a light red jewel case. "You're probably wanting to know if this is done, it is and I need to talk tech in sort of painful detail with him."

Lance looked between Redd and Shelder. “Uh, yeah. Right. I’ll let you both get down to the geek speak then. So long as this thing actually works, I’m good. I’d hate to be completely lost before you even started talking.”

He walked back to where Lieutenant Ovcharenko and Doctor Owen were standing. “And I see the two of you have met.” He turned to address Doctor Owen. “You’ll have to meet our other civilian later. He’s…" Lance pointed behind him, "...talking about things I never want to know about.”

Greg offered his hand to the other civilian. "Dr. Greg Shelder, SG-6. They're both fairly simple text documents, how good are you with Gould computers?"

Markus snaps out of his daydream when Greg walks over. He sighs and rubs his head. "Is this the virus that I hear so much about?"

Markus takes another drink of his coffee and he thinks to himself as he waits for an answer. 'I have a feeling this is going to be long and boring. Even though I am a computer guy, I like getting to the point.'

Travis watched Gregg interact with the other members of SG7, while pondering over Tim’s words. The quicker got the mission started the better. He moved his mouth to speak, and then shut it when it struck him that his team had to wait for Tallon’s to be geared up. Facing Tim as his brain ran a mile, per second, “How does a 3 hour window sound to you?” he asked his medic, “would that much time be enough to cover everything?

I'm for the time being I’m going to hunt down Davis and get the info of her,” seeing Tim’s expression, “don’t look at him like that, she’s the only one I actually know around here, other than McKinnon.” He was gearing up to have his head bitten off by his ex.

"Yeah, there's the virus program and a data-sweeper. You'll have to patch into the Gould system, run the data sweeper first, then run the virus. Make sure the virus doesn't execute on your computer, right now the source code is saved to disk as plain text documents. Changing it to a executable on their computer should be fairly simple, questions?" Greg leaned on the table while he waited for any extra information he needed.

Tim looked at his watch and nodded, “Tree hours will be more than enough, sir.” ‘Heck I could be ready in 10 minutes if needed…’

He opened his mouth to tell the captain to stay clear of her. All she ever was, she was trouble with a capital T… He snapped it shut quickly though, ‘The further one stays away from Lt Crazy Davis, the better…’ and simply nodded.
“You do that sir. All information we could get the better.”

Tim shot a fast look towards Greg before looking back at Oxford, “Then maybe I better make sure our Doc doesn’t get too much involved in the tech talk and get moving. Anything else before we split up, captain?”

Before Astra could get a response from Lt. Ovcheranko, Tallon showed up and interrupted them. "Uh, okay. I'll talk to him later," she said. "Who is he and what does he do?" She asked. "We only have four members on our team don't we?"

"Also could you please tell me about the mission we are going on and if we are sharing it with anyone else," Astra asked Lance. "Lt. Ocheranko was about to explain it too me before you turned up," she said, politely. "Do I need to bring any of my own equipment?"

((Yeah, so Tallon got shorted for Hughes. The latter's post is giving me problems, but I wanted to get something out for Lance. Here it is.))

"That'd be Markus Redd. He specializes in computer technology," Lance replied. "And with him, that brings our total count up to four."

Lance continued. "As for our mission, we’re to head to a planet, Perima—that is, well, it’s one of Zeus’s least defended fortresses. We should hit minimal defenses on the way through, but expect some resistance. I’d like to keep the element of surprise on our side, so silenced weapons and zats only. Our ultimate object is to hack into the computer mainframe, what Redd’s discussing right now. With any luck, and with Doctor Shelder’s program, extracting the data should go pretty smoothly. From what I understand, we’ll be uploading—that was the term, I think—some sort of virus at the same time. Once we’ve left them that nasty surprise and have the information, we get out of there."

He stopped for a moment, thinking about whether he needed to add anything. "SG-6 will act as an insertion team before they continue on their way."

"Sounds easy enough. What am I looking for? Just incase our plan fails and we have to look for the information manually." Markus took another drink of his coffee. When Lance introduced Markus to the other team member, Markus turned and waved the unknown person. Then he turned back to Greg for his response.

'Note to self. I need to bring the protective padded Laptop case for this mission. There is a possibility it might go through some rough spots and if my computer does not last, then this whole operation is a bust.' Markus half- listens to Lance and half to greg.

Greg thought about what to look for. "Look for mentions of the Asgard, viruses, a possible anti-virus. If I had to guess, I'd say the pieces of the anti-virus program will be spread out, possibly in the hands of multiple subordinate Goa'uld. If that's true, multiple teams might come back with source code pieces. And they'll look at us to compile it."

"Zeus," Astra muttered, scratching her nose. "He's like supposed to be the King of all Gods; symbols; thunderbolt, eagle, bull and oak. His parents were Cronus and Rhea. His brothers are Poseidon and Hades. Apparently married to Hera; father to Aphrodite, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, and Hermes to name just a few of his offspring," she told Lance and Elena.

"So, we'll basically be going in; hacking his main frame on this planet and doing as minimal damage as possible," she repeated, just to make sure. "What's Dr. Shelder's program, is it a virus and what is the information we are gathering?"

"Right." Greg opened his cargo pocket and retrieved the light red jewel case with its CD-RW and offered it to Markus. "The names are obvious, and the sweeper program is about twice the size as a .txt document. The malware program is really a worm, but we'll just say virus for their sake's." He gestured in a general fashion meant to take in the remainder of both teams.

Lance clarified for the anthropologist, "That's our best possible outcome, hacking the mainframe and not facing much in the way of resistance. It's still a Goa'uld fortress, so be prepared to have a bit of a fight on our hands. Either way, it's the information that's important. And we're looking for anything relating to the Asgard, the virus that's been attacking their systems, and maybe a possible solution to their problem."

He shook his head, "As for the program, your guess is probably better than mine. A lot better than mine. It sounds like it's a virus, seems to work like a virus, but I don't know nearly enough about this to tell you that it is a virus."
