Kylie couldn't help but laugh at Devin's stories. "Looks like I hung out with the wrong crowd. The only prank, on that scale at least, that I ever was part of was when we of the Greek Language Society decided to translate our entire biology book into Greek. We replaced our translation with the professor's lecture notes one day. When he started to copy the notes onto the board, all we could say was 'well that certainly looks like Greek to me!' Class was dismissed early that day, and the Greek Society never got in trouble for it because the professor was convinced that he was going insane and retired the next day. As class could not be completed, we all recieved whatever grade we had at the time for the semester. Thankfully, I still had an A at that point." She laughed remembering the countless hours, well only about 12 hours total with everyone working together on the project, that the Greek Club had spent translating the textbook.

"Nice." Devin said appreciating the psychological aspect of what they'd done, much like when he'd driven his first shrink near mad. Taking anoter few bites out of the sandwich, and a sip of the OJ he'd been drinking, Devin said, "Remind me to tell you about 'The Incident', one day, it's not one for public hearing though, so I'll have to tell you some other time."

((Damn you two show up somewhere and take over. LOL))
Adria sat at her table with the cane next to her leaned against the chair. She didn't realy feel like eating but just liked being here. As she sat there she decided she might as well try the medatation that she had learned. As she closed her eyes her ears quickly started to compinsate and about 3 tables behind her she herd Kylie and Devin talking. <<I wont bother them>> Adria thought as she focused back on her medatation.
((So you know how i see this is Kylie is behind me 3 tables back and Devin is across from her so he's faceing me))

Kylie nodded her head in understanding. "I'll hold you to that, one day." There were definately parts of her past college life that she would never want to say in public and could appreciate that request. She ate a few more forkfulls of salad and continued to sip her coffee. "So, what have you been up to besides babysitting me, and getting CO poisioning?"
((EDIT: Thanks for clarifying the seating, and I can't help it if I get board so often.))Dear Journal

Kylie took a few more bites of her salad and in a self-concious movement, wiped a small drop of ranch dressing from the corner of her mouth. "You know, I'm glad you tracked me down to the elevator. It would have been kinda lonely in here without you." She took a sip of coffee, and gave Devin a genuine smile. "Why don't you tell me about some more of those pranks you pulled off? I was enjoying hearing about them."Dear Journal

"Yah, it would be kinda boring without me around. Things get boring when I'm not in the general vicinity." Devin munched the rest of his sandwich down in one big gulp, "Once, it was the same day that we made those air cannons, several students dressed themselves in medeval costumes, got some wooden swords, and we all duked it out in the quad, playing a real-life capture the flag game using some of the classrooms as bases."

Kylie laughed at the mental image as she finished the last few bites of her pudding. "Now that sounds like a good time! Well, it sounds better than the things we did in the history honor society anyway." She started to take another drink of her coffee, but found that her cup was empty. "Wow, I guess I didn't realize how much I really did miss this stuff. The docs will kill me if I over do it, so I'd better stop with just the one cup." She placed the empty cup with the rest of her trash, and smiled at Devin. "So, where to now?"Dear Journal

Adria was still working on medatating and focusing her hearing. She would go from conversationg to conversation. As she was finishing up her medatation pratice she herd Kylie say that they were leaving. For a second Adria considered talking to her but decided when Kylie was ready to tell Adria if she was joining SG-9, she would do it.

"My initial thoughts would be the great outdoors, despite the fact that place is almost an anathema to me, but with your wheelchair and all, I don't see that as an option." Giving thought to the matter, Devin snapped two fingers together after several seconds of thought, "We're going to meet a good friend of mine, I won't tell you who until we get there though." He smiled at the thought of his long time friend, got behind the wheelchair and pushed it toward the elevator.

As Devin spun the wheelchair around, Kylie caught site of Adria. The two of them would have to talk again very soon, but she hated to stop Devin when he seemed so excited to introduce her to someone at the moment. Hoping that Adria was looking at her, Kylie smiled and mouthed the words, "I'll call you." and held her hand up to her head in the shape of a telephone.

((From lockers…))
With her hair still damp from the well needed shower Carrie stepped into the mess hall. It looked almost as deserted as the hangar bay had done when she had entered the base. She grabbed a tray and went to see if she could get something to calm her stomach with. Jello? No way! Chicken sandwich? Had one already. Ah, a piece of apple-pie, and of course a BIG cup of coffee.
Carrie looked around for a place to sit. Socialising or not? She saw a woman sitting on her own. Why not?
“Excuse me; may I join you for a moment? It feels kind of odd to sit on my own in the other end of the room…”
