Aeryn- Farscape: Really dramatic when it happened, even if it wasn't permanent.
John Crichton- Farscape: Not many shows will kill their main character off. It was never answered whether or not the living John or the dead John was the "real John".
D'argo- Farscape: Surprised me. Really felt bad after all that time getting to know him as a character to.
Crais- Farscape: Hugely dramatic death scene complete with a huge "**** you all" send off speach to his various enemies. Destroyed an entire Peacekeeper command carrier in the process, and those things were most certainly not dropping like flies all over the place.
Admiral Cain- Battlestar Galactica: Very powerful and realistic death scene. Great acting in this one.
Mantrid- Lexx: To kill him they had to collapse an entire universe. That's noteworthy.
Boromir- Lord of the rings: Ridiculous manic rampage through enemy troops while being filled full of arrows. Took way more than it should have to actually stop him.
That's all I can think of at the moment. 3 picks left.
Ouroboros, I think all the Farscape deaths you mentioned are already through. I cast the 3rd vote needed for D'Argo. That means you get more nominations
I'd start a revolution if I could get up in the morning.

Equality is not a concept. It's not something we should be striving for. It's a necessity. Equality is like gravity. We need it to stand on this earth as men and women. And the misogyny that is in every culture is not a true part of the human condition. It is life out of balance, and that imbalance is sucking something out of the soul of every man and woman who is confronted with it.
- Joss Whedon - Equality Now
4. Mace Windu - Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith- 2
5. Qui-Gon Jinn – Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace - 2
6. Obi Wan Kenobi – Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope - 2
7. Doc Brown - Back to the Future - 1 (He was shot down in the original timeline)
Signal, Nurse Wratchet isn't actually a real character in DS9. kmiller1610 was referring to Kai Winn; who played the equally horrible Nurse Ratched in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest."
That's what happens with the "copy and paste" method... fixed
