Yet another plot hole, if wanna call it that, that TPTB threw at us

Ok, so in Sanctuary when the ascended ancient returned to Atlantis with John, or Capt. Kirk, if you will she was thought to be just another human being in Pegasus. However, we find out differently later. That being said, how was Beckett able to take blood, and do all those test on her since she was ascended and had no "body" to speak of. We know that ascended beings can appear to be human, but they are still pretty much without a body. So back to my question, how could Beckett run tests on her?

As an ascended being, allowed to interfere, she could just easily have fooled them.

Perhaps part OF her punishment was she DID have to live in a human body..

Heck SG1 also had that when Orlin descended TWICE..

"allowed to interfere"???? She had trouble letting go of her life before she ascended and when the wraith came to her home world she unwittingly destroyed them. As such she was banished to that world, never being allowed to leave, save for the time John found her and invited her to Atlantis. That was her punishment for interference in the lower plains.

Except that before Orlin descended he could pass right through Carter's counter. She didn't have a "human" body since she became energy when the wraith came to her home world and went back through the stargate. So your argument is invalid.

Her punishment was that she was allowed to interfere, but only on her planet. We've seen that low-level interference for banished Ancients is allowed (basically Oma Desala's MO).

This still don't answer the question of how Beckett could've run who knows how many tests on her. As an ascended being she wouldn't have had a physical body to be tested.

She can intervene. She can just make him believe he ran tests. She can make the machines believe they ran tests.

She resumed corporeal form as an Ancient when she pretended to be human, then she reascended.

That's highly unlikely. Considering you have to "die" to ascend

Troughout the episode she does a number of things that cannot be done without either ascended powers or higher brainfunction like reading minds to obtain information such as names or being aware of things she cannot be aware of like multi-lightyear scanning.

That either suggests she was appearing as or actually *was* human (well more like an ascended close to ascension). I don't care which, but she clearly was allowed to interfere however she wanted on her planet with things like knowledge, healing and defense. If she can do that, she can use that to appear as close to human as she wants. She's ascended, we've seen ascended do crazy things. Convincing machines and humans that what they see and analyze is an actual human is well within her power. Fooling humans to prevent them from interfering with her punishment would be acceptable from a rule point of view.

So the end verdict is this: She was an ascended and she could interfere. She both had the power to and it would've been within the rules. It's not a plothole.

Ascended are da bomb. Everyone wants Ascended. Except that you don't get to do all that Mortal crap anymore. A singularity of moral value systems.
