    Carson Clone

How did Micheal manage to make a perfect copy of Dr. Becket with all his memories and knowledge? Granted he used DNA from the real one, but i thought only goa'uld retained genetic memory?

It was never explained. Although Stargate has taken liberties with cloning before, so i'm not surprised.

I know, but that explains it.

There's simply no such thing as genetic memory. It's possible that Michael's telepathy allowed him to "copy" Carson's mind, but practically it was just an ass-pull. A nice asspull (never happy that Carson died) but an asspull nevertheless.

"No such thing as genetic memory"????? How do you explain the Goa'uld then?

The goa'uld were explained to have it. But humans don't. It's not how genetics work. It's not how memory works.

Michael probably got some Wraith tech that can copy a Wraith's mind and memories, so he modified it to work with human body. So all he needed to do is get off that planet they converted Wraith into humans with a that tech, clone Carson, do a memory transfer and boom, done.

That or he came across some Replicator tech before our guys did, created a RepliCarson, copy memories to it, create a clone body and use Replicator tech to transfer the memories over to the clone. Then, get rid of RepliCarson so no-one knows it ever existed so McKay then could only bang his head into an Atlantis wall over the whole thing.

It wasn't perfect. It was gonna die, unless it got its injections every day. Helluva biological "deep cloning" process though. Thematically I was inclined to buy it as a "really good hack". Michael is like Frankenstein on steroids. He can bake the best cakes.
