What other SciFi shows are worth seeing that I should check into?

You might give Firefly (and Serenity, the feature lenght movie that wraps it up) a go. It's essentially a story of cowboys in space, but it has some of the humor that characterizes SG-1 and Farscape too.

Wow. Thanks everyone for all the great tips! I usually wait until a show has stopped before I begin watching it. I like to buy the complete series boxset and just burn through it from beginning to end. Sometimes I'll watch a season at a time - after the season is completed. But I don't enjoy watching a show when it is broken apart by commercials thrown into your mind, and then you have to wait a week for the next piece of story.

Expanse - Saw Season 1 through On Demand a week or so after it first aired. Very good show.
Firefly / Serenity - Absolutely loved it and hated that it ended way too soon.
Heroes- Everyone tells me to watch this and that only the 1st season is good.
Orphan Black - Saw the Season 1 premier on TV and thought it was interesting.

The rest: 12 Monkeys, Black Mirror, Dark Matter, Dollhouse, Fringe, Humans, Mr Robot, Person of Interest - have been added to my list. Thanks again, everyone.

I also plan to checkout The Flash, The Arrow, Supergirl, and DC Legends Of Tomorrow when those are completed and boxset'ed.


@Gatefan1976, my definition of SciFi isn't too strict. (Most SciFi is just Drama with a SciFi backdrop.) What are you thinking about?

Re: Person of Interest - it's almost complete. Season 5 is the last, it's just 13 eps, and there are just 5 more to go. All the other seasons are out on DVD, so you could start anytime, since S5 should be out very soon.
