No discussion on this? I'm surprised.

Glenn may yet still be alive. I guess a bit of denial, but I found out through social media so I'm a bit pissed.

Wow, two bloodbaths in a row?

Shame about Glenn though... Considering how many red shirts had died, it was time for a main character...

Hence why I avoid all social media after something like this comes out...

I hope Glenn is dead (it's not because I dislike the character; I've been liking him lately, mainly since he and Maggie haven't been joined at the hip), the part in the bold is one of the reasons why. Another (and the main) reason I hope Glenn is dead, is because it seems beyond ridiculous for him to have been able to escape being pinned down by Walkers like that, even if it wasn't his body that was being torn to shreds.

!! But.. but.. Glenn! Not like that! So quick and then it was over.

Part of me thinks it was all a part of the other guy's hallucination..

That's kind of why I liked it. He was just dead, they didn't devote a whole episode to Glenn and pretty much advertise the death throughout, like they usually do when someone important dies. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a hallucination or he miraculously finds some way of escaping, but I'd be really disappointed.

*Sorry if I'm coming off as mean or whatever lol.

Glenn isn't just someone important. He's the most important character after Rick (in my opinion :p). So just killing him off like a redshirt just seems off..

But it would be shocking lol :P. He better at least be bitten, if he's not dead. Then he can try to get home to Maggie and have an emotional death scene.

It was shocking. No build up to it, other than the impossible to escape from herd of walkers.

I don't want him to be dead. So I'm just going to pretend he's ok until I know for sure. I know what I saw, that's not the kind of injury you just walk off, but I also saw the other guy freaking out and everything slowing down so he could be imagining how things turn out if he shoots himself..

Yeah, the other guy kept zoning out, so he could have hallucinated Glenn getting killed, meanwhile they're actually both still on top of the dumpster. I dunno, to me, that would seem cheap though. Then again, Glenn isn't a favorite of mine, and I might feel differently if he was; but I don't know.

Another possibility is that he did shoot himself and then fell on top of Glenn, so it was the other guy's body they were tearing apart with Glenn safely underneath until they get bored and shuffle away.

Or he's dead.

If Glenn is to survive unscathed, I think a hallucination would probably make the most sense, since, even if it was the other guy getting torn apart by the Walkers, Glenn would still be pinned down underneath them, and it would be silly (to me) if he escaped without getting bitten at all.

I'd like it too, if only to show that death can be senseless. I like it in TV shows when main characters die suddenly and without any sort of "goodbye"

Rest In Pieces Glenn :(

What's up with Daryl?

After Glenn's near/apparent/then not death in the prev season finale, I was really not expecting this!

IF he ultimately walks away... TOTAL cop out - as bad as a Big Red Reset Button...

If he is gone... well, I'm sad to see him go.

Am I right in thinking that the guy who shot at Rick was the guy who Morgan let loose, who then picked up a gun from a fallen guy at Alexandra last ep?

Me thinks Rick is in trouble there... And guessing he shot out something important when he went ballistic with the assault rifle... (though - good solution to the problem...)

(The above statement totally sits outside my IRL opinion of gun control... and thus... feels very wrong. I guess I'll clarify it by saying - as soon as the Zombies, err, Walkers start walking amongst us - I'm all for total lack of gun control.)

..

I see there's already a guy who has posted a vid on YouTube saying that the colour of Glenn's/Nicholas' shirts show that it's Nicholas' body the walkers are eating... EVEN if this is so - walkers don't just eat torsos... so - if that's the excuse they use... I'll be pissed at them for building this up into nothing. Assuming of course, as many hope, he's not in fact dead...

Yes, Tasha Yar... (:

I don't know for certain, but I think rick will pull an Andria situation, remember when she was trapped in the RV and she tried to assemble her gun and dropped a piece on the floor, and that attracted the walker to her in the bathroom, I think rick will do something like that, as for glen, well, I watched the talking dead and got a little info on that, though it wasn't very clear, so all things are still up in the air.

a hallucination would explain what I was wondering, I mean, they could have easily made the jump to that fence, even though there was barbed wire on top of it, they would have gotten badly scratched up, but they would have ben ok, with the dumpster blocking the walkers and the fence, at least for a while.

what I am having trouble with is that rick cut his hand, now earlier on it was established, if you got scratched or cut by a walker, then you are going to turn, I think, I don't remember if it was season 1 or 2, I think I saw something like that.

Yeah... I think the mythology could use some deeper exploration, because - if everyone is infected... really, everyone should have had the raging temperature followed by brain death followed by re-animation...

If they are all infected, why would a Walker's bite/etc expedite the transformation?

In this case though, I don't see it as being Walker related - he just cut himself whilst dealing with Walkers... (and... well... given the amount of Walker blood... you'd think some would have gotten into some of his wounds by now - if not the new gaping hand wound... not to mention the eyes - gawd he's had his fair share of blood covered faces...)

this I can help you with, the immune system is holding it at bay, they are carriers, but if THEY bite someone or are bitten, then the anti bodies that are specific to that person gets in to the blood stream of the person bitten then the immune system is over whelmed by having two types of the disease in the body, then the immunity breaks down, and the disease runs rampant through the body, and the turning process begins, remember jenner said something about the being a tricky bas-tard. I think.

here is what I was talking about, I mean look at that fence, it is practically right next to them.

I didn't see that coming. Glenn getting killed. One of the main characters had to die sonner or later instead of just bitpart characters. I'm just glad it wasn't Michonne.

I don't think Glenn is dead....or we haven't seen the last of him. Since A. Talking Dead didn't do a "In Memorandum" for him and B. Scott Gimple wrote into TD to confirm that we would see Glenn again in some form..(which was kinda disturbing) :S

My working theory is....Nicholas was on top of Glenn so they were eating his guts not Glenn's. Glenn was able to crawl under that dumpster and hide until the walkers moved on or something. I think though, he was maybe bitten and he will either turn and Rick's group will find him and have to put him down....or he will make his way back to the group as a just bitten Glenn and it will be agonizing and just horrible.... I think Glenn's death has not been played out fully yet.

I saw that too, and it makes me think that you might be right but there are so many ways that this could play out that you know that we aren't going to find out till either the mid season finale or the season finale, there's your REAL killer, if it is one of the last episodes of the season, we won't hear the end of it till after easter.

If he walks away without so much as a scratch then it'll be a huge copout from the writers. He was attacked by a swarm of walkers. The odds of walking away without so much as a scratch would be astronomical. The only thing that would come close to explaining him still being alive without it being completely ridiculous would be the other guy hallucinating.
