Sarah Jane Smith was the companion of my childhood. I was very upset when Lis passed away, as indeed I was with various others who have passed away recently - Mary Tamm, Caroline John, Nicholas Courtney, Kate O'Mara. So sad.

Sarah Jane and Harry were the companions currently on when I first began watching Doctor Who. I always thought Lis Sladen was beautiful, regardless of how she was presented. It was a very sad day in our family's Tv viewing, when we heard she passed on to the next world.
