John Christopher's The Tripods

Back when i was a kid growing up i loved reading the tripods triolgy, and when i heard the BBC was making a tv series on the novels i was estatic. BUT never really liked the show especially since they only did the first 2 books worth.

With how things are these days lacking some good "english based" sci fi shows, who here thinks this is Ripe for 'reimagining'?

I remember that show. It came on very late at night after the local news. I was hoping that the show would be revived.

I remember being scared by the ideas presented in that show, while thinking that the aliens looked silly. However, as long as Falling Skies is still being made, I don't know if there's room for another show where aliens invade earth and implant things in people's brains to turn humans into slaves.

Eh on the show. I'm in the US and I don't think it showed here but I saw some of the eps a friend of a friend had and was disappointed.

When I saw the Hunger Games it reminded me of Tripod series and another of his books - Wild Jack.

But most importantly - the author is John Christopher

I remember that when I saw the show as a young kid I was very afraid of the tripods Saw it again a few years ago and thought that it hadn't aged well.
