So lately I have been tuning this idea I had for a tv show. I don't want to give away too many details yet, but the basic premise is that a wormhole has been periodically taking people from Earth for the last 5000 years and dumping them on another planet (don't worry I have an explanation as to why) and so this new world is a massive mix of culture and language but also has many alien animals and plants
I'm writing up a pilot episode and have a basic plan for at least 3 seasons, including arcs, enemies, history, events, currency etc.
So the story follows a young man who is sent from modern day to the planet and is technically the smartest on the planet, as the last person to arrive was from the 1890's. There is a religious group that controls a continent while the other continent is more democratic and science based. There is also another group that have answers to why they are there and how they got there, as well as having some advanced tech with them.
