The Hostage situations

How many times did Kolya hold Shepard or Weir and Mackay, As hostage.. ?
More times than im willing to accept as any sort of SF.
It undermined entire gestalt of series.
Hostage scenarios DO NOT WORK. They are a fob. And undermine integrity of series.
An excuse to avoid tactical assault and death of any character.

However.. common ground worked well. Heyerdahl is great

I have all epps as .avi and watched maybe 20 times the series.
Along with Firefly the best SF series.

In 30 years of Spec fiction buffdom. what else is there?
5000 books but books are so far above most tv Sf as to be another world.

And i love Amanda Tapping and Weir.

Koyla held them hostage a lot, but I didn't mind it. Save the hostage aspects, I liked him as a character, I would have liked to see more from him.

A Nemesis
or a second nemesis after Micheal.
A Shepard specific nemesis .

That such a buffoon could be a nemesis is ..well
A function of the audience.

Yes all stories need a bad guy. He fits the bill.. just
