    Greatest Star Wars ships

    I didn't see a similar thread around here, so I'll just make one. What is your favourite ships? Mine is definitely the Y-Wing(the "redshirt ship" used along with X-Wings) which used to be the Rebel top fighters until the X-Wing stole the place. My love for this little cool fighter came from the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special, which contains a cartoon that has Luke, 3PO and R2 flying on one. It is possibly the Y-Wing's only appereance in focus of a SW story(the only one where viewers would actually look at it), though it's only a cartoon. The Y-Wing is capable of being a boat and I just like the design too.

    Secondly I like the Death Star.

    If we are sticking to pure "Movie Cannon", I would have to say my fave is either the Jedi Starfighter or the Firespray.

      The Y-wings were pretty prevalent in the Battle of Yavin in ANH, too. As cannon fodder

      Hammerhead-class cruiser

      Fury-class Imperial Interceptor

      Defender-class Corvette

      Venator-class Star Destroyer

      Imperial II-class Star Destroyer

      Slave I

      TIE Fighter

        If we're sticking with just fighters, For me it would have to be the x-wing.

        For capital ships it's the Imperial II-class star destroyer.

        The Falcon and Slave I are right up there as well.

            For Capital Ships I'd have to go for the Eclipse-class Dreadnought

              Ah yes, the TIE/D Defender does look very nice.
              And how could I forget the Rogue Shadow as Im playing through those games again as I speak.

                    They (there were two) were the Emperor's flagship when he was reborn. So post-ROTJ One of them also appears in Empire at War: Forces of Corruption.

                    And don't forget the Death Star II-esque superlaser on the front end

                      Choosing a favorite starship in Star Wars is kinda impossible for me, there are so many great ones. Its like choosing a favorite Character, weapon, or droid. There is so much cool stuff in the Star Wars universe. But I will label some of my favorites

                      X-Wing - who doesn't love the X-Wing? Its a ship that I always think "cool" when I see it. All you need is one of these to take down a empire!
                      TIE Fighter - another staple Star Wars hip that is just hard to resist not loving! Its so simple but yet its just cool to see one flying around. Plus it makes a really cool sound I try to mimic all the time...
                      Delta-7 Jedi Starfighter - The triangle ones from Episode II, I just think they look cool! Speaking or Triangles...
                      Star Destroyer - who knew triangles could be so cool! Its quite a epic thing to see a Star Destroyer slowly flying towards ya to blow you up!

                      I could probably name alot more, I mean the Millennium Falcon is quite cool, as well as the Slave I...but everybody likes those.

                            The X-Wing and Y-Wing are amongst my favourites.

                              Never was a big fan of the Y-wings in the OT just because of how they were so...fodder.

                              I really like the variant/prototype they've shown in TCW though....
