Umm... this is the second time I have watched this episode. After Scott, Eli, and Chloe return through the gate after being trapped, I realized that Greer was not part of that group. He was guarding the gate room when they came through. He WAS trapped with them. What the heck is going on? Is this a mistake or part of the plot. That is all the information I need.

He wasn't trapped with them all. They thought he was dead so they left him. He escaped and camped out near the gate where James and her team found him and brought him back. The very last scene in Lost is Greer in his quarters after having been rescued.Comment
