Shep's team
Sheppard has the weirdest team with two aliens a scientist a doctor and him a solider. you would think that Shep's team being on the front line and all it would be entirely US military personnel. and since Ronon held them hostage how did the IOA allow him stay in Atlantis let alone join Shep's team.

SG-1
Seasons 1-5: O'Neill, Carter, Daniel, & Teal'c
Season 6: O'Neill, Carter, Teal'c, & Jonas
Season 7: O'Neill, Carter, Daniel, & Teal'c
Season 8: Carter, Daniel, & Teal'c
Season 9: Mitchell, Carter, Daniel, Teal'c
Season 10: Mitchell, Carter, Daniel, Teal'c, & Vala
Sheppard's Team (Seasons 1-5)
Season 1: Sheppard, McKay, Ford, Teyla
Seasons 2-5: Sheppard, McKay, Teyla, & Ronan
Note: Dr. Beckett wasn't part of Sheppard's team, he simply joined them off world when the mission called for it. -
His team needed some local "aliens" because they tended to know people from the other planets. Ronan was a good fighter while Teyla was a decent fighter and was good with diplomacy. Plus you needed to have a woman along, it is a TV show after all.Comment

Ronon was essentially homeless anyway, seems like the entire planetarly population with the exception of those who like him were runners, were culled by the Wraith. Some at least were given the choice to become Wraith worshippers and escape death that way. I expect the IOA allowed him to stay because there wasn't much else they could do, short of having him killed for learning some of the secrets of Atlantis, if they perceived him as such a threat. And given that they were in another galaxy with only sporadic contact, there really wasn't much they could do.sigpic

John Sheppard = Jack O'Neill
Rodney McKay = Samantha Carter
Aiden Ford
Teyla Emmagan = Teal'c
Seasons 2-5
John Sheppard = Jack O'Neill
Rodney McKay = Samantha Carter
Teyla Emmagan = Daniel Jackson (in that she is the Pegasus cultural expert)
Ronan Dex = Teal'c

Agree. With a slight change. I think Teyla is a bit of Teal'c and Daniel, given the "warrior" abilities she was given. We never saw Sam fight the way Teyla does, and I would have liked to see that.Originally posted by Snowman37 View PostComment

Ronan was always portrayed as a soldier. He's just extremely hot-headed, because the Wraith wiped out his world and made him a runner. That'll screw with anyone's head.Comment

Sam may have been a scientist but she was also military. So her and Jack were the two military personnel in the SG-1 team. After season one Sheppard was the only military personnel in the SGA-1 team, although Ronon was a former soldier, and Teyla was a very capable fighter.
I would have said Daniel and McKay were more alike as in they were both civilians. Although Daniel was braver
