So mad, DVR'd it and DirectTV screwed up the sound! It got really out of sink and then towards the end it was really choppy so you couldn't understand anything...

Love, love, loved it! I so wish this show would go on forever -- so fun and delightful, even when it tries to be snarky, maybe even moreso. SARAH as narrator was another nice touch.

This Episode was pure awesomeness! I dont even know where to start, but my favourite moment was definetly the Anime Eureka. That was so Badass I didnt want it to stop.

I think they managed to incorporate all of the Worlds perfectly, though it was very weird what changed every time. For example Jo White looses the birds after the secound World, while she keeps the dress, then looses the Dress, but keeps the Bomb. Just saying.

I also loved the special effect they used for the first transformation, very Pagemaster. Would have loved a reference.

I forgot, do they know that the Guy from the end is Santa or not? At some point it seemed so and others it didnt.

Taggart was awesome, he made a very cute bear. I didnt care for Carl though, speaking cartoon cars are one thing, but he could at least have been funnier if he stayed till the end, at least he got better till then. Also the joke when Jo, Andy and the Sheriff fall and they grab her legs to use her Dress as a Parachute was kind of spoiled for me. She just asks "Are you looking at my Dress?", thats not the Jo Lupo I know. Her reaction should have been "Look up and I make sure thats the last thing you`ll ever see".

Its funny how being made out of clay makes Allison way less believable. When she starts talking about how the Photon Generator has no plug she almost sounds like a charicature of herself. :)

The episode was full of cuteness! How adorable is the little girl they have playing Jenna? Sweet!

Loved Jo through the episode. Her being all tough and then princess-y then back to tough again.

And as always, I love SARAH.

I always watch Eureka but don't post in the episode threads BUT I simply have to today - this was a bloody brilliant episode!!

I loved it! They managed to keep the essence of a Eureka episode then capture and blend the essence of the various animated formats they chose to create an episode full of Christmas awesome :D

I thought this was a cute episode! :D I loved how they transformed into different types of animation. First...CGI. Then...kiddie cartoon. Then...claymation. Then...Japanese Anime. (my favorite)

I liked it...it was so different and cute storytelling!

Loved Jo and how she missed the birds after they were gone (lol) and of course loved the snow ninjas :D

Plus Fargo got to keep his samurai sword at the end! (it was a samurai sword wasn't it? i can't recall and haven't rewatched it yet)

I feel like Eureka's one of the only shows that could do an episode like this and make it seem like they aren't trying to hard.

I absolutely *loved* this episode, especially the Lord of the Rings moment with Fargo and the buttons.

"My precious!"
"One button to rule them all!"

Yeah, I was confused about this too, and Zane.

Yeah, I was confused about this too, and Zane.

Its only a wild guess, but maybe they excluded those 2 because those relationships are not going to cut it on the long run? Since this Episode has no real place in the Timeline, they probably decided it would be best not to include them so the Fans dont get the wrong impression that they may have been together for Years.

Could be. I notice Jenna was at least a few months older here than she was in Season 4; chronologically, this story probably can/should be bumped into some point during Season 5. Most certainly post-Season 4 cliffhanger resolution.

That leaves plenty of window to wonder about the lack of Grace and Zane in this episode.

I was thinking about this today on the ride home, I suppose we could move the date of it to when Henry and Grace were separated.

Or maybe, since SARAH was telling the story, she doesn't like Grace and Zane and chose to leave them out. I don't believe the story was a true story (in the show), although it would be funny if it was referenced in a later episode.

This one was a bit too syrupy for my tastes. Taggart was great though.

Dearheart, Christmas is the time for syrupy goodness. Angst and tension comes at other times of the year.

Yeah, I could feel the sugar shock coming in a bit myself and I'm known for loving the fluff.

Still, sugar highs are so much fun!

Weird, I am normally the Grinch who thinks the less christmas and sugar coat is better, but this one doesnt urk me at all. It is like the different versions keep me from noticing that I am actually watching a Christmas Episode.

Graybrew1

It reminded me of a certain Farscape, too. Farscape's none Christmas Bug's Bunny ep was much darker. An homage to the likeness would have been a nice nod to the fans of both shows, but the writer's did not think to put Chricton and co. in it.

Well, after missing out last year, it looks like this episode will finally get shown here for the first time. I've seen some photos, a few clips, and heard loads about it, but have never seen the whole episode, so I'm really looking forward to seeing it!

Is it coming on Netflix soon?

Sorry, everlovin, there's no mention of it being released on Netflix yet. But according to the SyFy schedule, this episode will be shown on Tuesday 18 December, at 8pm. And if past episodes are anything to go by, the episode should be released on iTunes the next day.

So, is Netflix the same kind of thing as iTunes? I must admit I'm not familiar with them

Ooh! It's showing on SyFy here soon? Yay!

Netflix is a streaming/dvd rental service you pay by the month. It's got all sorts of stuff available. I think it's just here in the States, but I imagine other countries have similar things. I know Amazon and Blockbuster do something similar.

Ah yes, I've just checked the UK site for Amazon, and I've seen it on there.

The SyFy channel here in the UK will be showing both the Christmas episodes - O Little Town on the 17th, and DYSWIS on the 18th. As you can guess, I can't wait!

Roll on the 18th!!

Well, better late than never - this episode was fantastic!! I watched it again on my iPod on the way home from work tonight, and still giggled like an idiot - I'm surprised I wasn't asked to get off the train!

And not that I'm biased or anything, but Kavan was just so funny as Andy. He's clearly having such fun in this role, as everyone else is. I just hope that eventually they'll do a TV movie.

:)

Unfortunately, I don't think they'll do a movie. The set, costumes, etc have been auctioned off.
