Hmmm, well, Stargate is certainly much more optimistic when it comes to humans adapting alien technology to our own use. Certainly the jumpgates in B5 seemed like a precursor to the Atlantis spacegates, and the Prometheus and her sister ships seem very similar to the Earth Alliance destroyers such as the Agamemnon, with the exception of the spinning section.

I suppose you could have some a stargate get crossed up with a jumpgate, making a temporary bridge across the universes like a spark jumping. Tricky though. It would have to be from the Stargate universe to the B5 universe, because if it was the other way around, the B5 ship wouldn't fit throught. On second thought, the B5 ship could come through an Ori Supergate.

But an SGC team coming through the gate would have a big problem, as they could come out in empty space. Even if there was a ship right there beside them, it is unlikely they could be rescued in time. What would work is a Puddle Jumper going through a Stargate and coming out the jumpgate.
