Stargate Ancients and Gatebuilders series idea ?

For awhile I've been thinking about what if the Stargate franchise create a new series that tells (shows) the story on how the Stargates were built. Show how the Ancients lived there lives before the Stargates were seeded throughout the universe. Even show how they had the philosophical divide between science and religion.

Let me know what you guys think about a series like this.

Brad Wright and friends have clearly stated that they have no desire to do a prequel series or one set in the future. They loved keeping the show in the present-day.
