Inheritance cycle(discussion and appreciation thread)

I was wondering if anyone ever read this series and liked it. I have read all 3 books now waiting for the fourth. I found this series to be interesting and I have seen the movie and thought that it was not great as compared to the book. So what do you think of the series? Also if this thread already exist I apologize.

The first book wasn't that bad, but books 2 and 3 were ******* awful. I refuse to read the final book.

I've read each book twice and plan on rereading them in November for when the fourth comes out. I've already pre-ordered my copy I can't wait to see what happens and who the Green Dragon Rider will be.
