sounds interesting

I'm hoping in the case of Juliette's arm that she hurts it while being attacked by zombies (nothing to do with Nick).

And I can't imagine they'll kill Eric that soon, I'm sure he'll be smart enough not be on the plane. And is a great vilian of the show

Hyndara71

Well ...

the prob is another separated arm, we've seen some during the last two seasons. Only this one is made from Bitsie's real arm. During filming the season opener Bitsie tweeted a pic how Bree is shaking said prob arm's hand, now completely done with bloody flesh and I think I remember also a bone showing. Maybe Ice has the pic as I don't have it and I don't find it anymore.

Norberto answered a fan on Twitter a while ago that James would be the "British ambassador" for Grimm (said fan is from UK and asked Norberto about the possibility of shooting an episode there). I know that they first wanted to move the storyline more to Europe and let the attempt be successful, but they didn't get the greenlight for it. I hope the ambassabor will stay. I mean, I'm wearing this set not only for fun since three months. Grimm really hooked me to look deeper into James' other roles and I really would miss him and his awesome take on Eric on Grimm. I think I've found my heir to Kolya

The last 2 episodes have taken longer than normal to film. I think 8 days is the normal amount per episode, but 3.04 apparently took 12 days and 3.05 wraps filming tomorrow which will be the 12th day of filming also.

Hyndara71
September 9th, 2013, 05:02 AM
I think they take longer because they have time to film instead of running the permanent deadline. I don't know for sure but I could imagine that's the reason *shrugs*. Right now I'm more interested not to get into deep into this upcoming fence war between PDX and oversea-Grimmsters. I mean, seriously? It is ONE show we all love *shakes head*

No, we've just been having a tiger problem here. The port authority has been spending too much time making tv shows and they haven't been checking incoming ships well enough before letting them dock. :P

Had a great time in Portland, nice city, the hotel we stayed in was really different! Really bright crazy decor but really worked, loved it! The neighbourhood was nice, lots of restaurants and.....

saw this......

38567

so took this...... 38568

....but we were leaving on the Friday morning, so close! It would have been awesome to see the filming. :(

At least I'll recognise the place when it turns up on screen and had the weird opportunity to see the location before the episode! I guess this is one time the spoilerphobe that I am gets to see a bit of a 'spoiler'! :P

Our hotel was just round the corner. Took a walk down to the area where the locations website said Aunt Marie's trailer was parked on the show, and along by the station with the tower and the artwork on the sidewalk. We really walked a lot that day! Handy that the tram ran right by our hotel from downtown so we didn't have to walk back!

The Christmas episode is apparently 308, which if I looked at the calendar right, means there cant be more than one week off from 301-308 otherwise it would air after Christmas.

My guess is the first 8 episodes will air without a break, that way 308 can air on Friday the 13th which fits Grimm.

TVByTheNumbers says NBC: 'Grimm' Is Certain To Be Renewed (http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2013/09/24/nbc-grimm-is-certain-to-be-renewed/203687/) even though season 3 has not started yet.

"Grimm is certain to be renewed at the end of the 2013-14 season.

The show will begin its third season in 2013-14. At the end of this season, it will be within one more full season of the 88 episodes (give or take a couple) which currently seems to be the minimum for extra profitable stripped syndication. It's the only show produced by NBCU's Universal Television that's in its third season on NBC (recent carnage having thinned the rest of the herd), and is a lock for season four."

That would be great if it was renewed before the season even started.

It would be great, indeed, but I wouldn't nail NBC on a too early renewal. The last two years Grimm was more or less alone on Friday nights, now there will be strong competition. I hope the audience will stay, even after a break of 6 months ...

I have a favor to ask for someone that's good/decent with photoshop or something similar.

I'm an admin on the Grimm wiki and I'm helping redesign the look which includes a new logo. Would someone be interested in making it for me?

Here is the current one 38637 (click for full size) If someone could do it, it just needs to be the same size as the one above with a transparent background using this text: 38638 and the hardest part is probably finding a font to to write "Wiki" that is similar in color and looks to "Grimm"

It would be REALLY helpful if someone could help me with this.

Here is a link to the wiki so you can see the logo in use http://grimm.wikia.com/wiki/Grimm_Wiki

Casting news from TVLine!

Exclusive: Grimm Casts Hank's Dreamgirl (http://tvline.com/2013/10/05/grimm-season-3-cast-sharon-leal-love-interest-hank/)

Hank, a little warning: Your new dream girl was once a real hellcat.

Grimm has cast Sharon Leal as a physical therapist (and potential love interest) for Russell Hornsby’s Hank, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Leal will appear in multiple Season 3 episodes as Zuri Ellis, the healthcare pro who’s spent nearly two months helping Hank with his busted ankle. She’s described as “smart, beautiful and mysterious” — no wonder he’ll have trouble parting ways with her once his therapy is complete.

But is she Wesen, as well? Though show co-creators David Greenwalt and James Kouf at one point indicated that Hank would get involved with a fairytale creature this season, Greenwalt recently told TVLine, “There’ll be some kind of romantic thing with Hank. We’re not sure if it’s going to be a Wesen girlfriend or not.”

Yeah, Tawnia is the director. She and Norberto were scouting locations the day he posted that picture with her which usually means filming is a few days from starting. I think they also took a few days off between filming. But they could have started 308 before last night, I haven't been paying that much attention of what episode they're on lately.

I'm guessing they're going to go on a little hiatus pretty soon like they always do after filming a batch of episodes.

Ice: Yep, both of them. And I think after trying to bring the NBC-version to play for half an hour I can skip that one too. Poor Michael, he was so excited to share a link with the Grimmsters and is now getting all the grumpy oversea-Grimmsters.

M: I still live on the other side of the ocean. Universal is that crazy, even people from Canada have trouble watching the trailers, sneek peeks and promos sometimes. without trying to sound too snarky, maybe New Mexico doesn't feel like US but it's still inside the borders. Travel to Mexico or Canada and you can see what the rest of the world get.

Right now I'm only grateful that the webisodes are still working, but I fear, we are not lucky for long anymore. It's the same that happened before the backhalf of season 2 started :(. Seriously, world should start to have a talk all together about how to manage this situation. This cannot be the only solution in a world being more connected day by day. There has to be a way to get everyone lucky, at least on the internet :(
Ps. And yes, I found out that US people interested in European television have the same problem.

I'm only wondering why the heck Silas didn't cancel RingCon. I mean, hey, I'm super excited that I'll have the chance to meet him but I don't understand why he's coming here, a week before season 3 will start. To a country with barely a fanbase and surely absolutely non-important for NBC and/or Universal.

Looks like the director of 311 is a new director in the business. He shadowed the directors for the last 3 episodes of season 2 and did a good enough job that Norberto Barba helped get him his own episode to direct. On IMDB is looks like he hasn't done much other than a few short films.

I don't think he would either, but at the same time.. he might if he's protecting someone from becoming a murder victim. Still.. I'm willing to bet it was the bauerschwein who does it or something like that... I dunno.. I suck at deriving information from promos, lol. Hence why I don't usually try :D

blueray
November 5th, 2013, 09:27 AM
I think that it is partially a promo trick and that Nick is just simply trying to stop Monroe from making a mistake, such as killing/attacking someone. And will turn out not to shoot him (at least I hope that is how it is)

IceIsNice
November 5th, 2013, 02:54 PM

Well here's a little info about Nick and Monroe from Entertainment Weekly

So Nick killed a guy on Grimm. I’m guessing that’s going to come back to bite him in the butt? — Laurie
You bet! (Well, not literally) But the guilt is going to weigh very heavily on Nick, throughout the third episode. But my highlight in episode 3 actually had little to do with that. The best part was watching Nick and Monroe get in the most intense physical fight we’ve ever seen between them. There’s more to this story; don’t worry.

Well, last Sunday I watched Parkland, that movie IS about the assassinating and the date runs more than one times through the screen. So, I should have had that in mind, especially as the death of JFK IS in fact a piece of history I'm very interested in.

Besides, the German word for claw is Klaue, Pranke or Tatze. I never heard of Krampus before. A friend of mine, native Austrian, knows it. So, my guess it's an Austrian German word or MAYBE something from the deepest south German (Schwaebisch Alp), but it's not a common word and the figure of Krampus isn't known all over Germany. Where I live we only have a character named "Knecht Ruprecht", who's sort of servant to St Niklas and he is sort of punishing naughty kids (they don't get sweets but a stake from birch or meadow). That's all that is somehow ... a little bit similar to said Krampus. But Ruprecht comes on St Niklas-day (December, 6th) not around the 21st - and he's surely not eating kids.

Lol, yes, the Krampus is typical for Bavaria and Austria (but also known in South Tyrol, Hungary and Slowenia). He has similar tasks like Knecht Ruprecht in Northgermany. The name comes from the middle-high-German word for claw, "krampen". The Krampus is NOT an evil version/twin of Santa Claus (besides, we don´t believe in Santa Claus here, we have the Christkind :p), like Monroe said in the sneak-peek, but accompanys Saint Nicholas on December 6th to punish the naughty children with a birch. The actual Krampus day is December 5th, though. I don´t know were they got December 21st as Krampus-day.
Oh, and don´t confuse the Krampus with Perchten, they are something completely different. ;)

Oh, and don´t confuse the Krampus with Perchten, they are something completely different. ;)

More on the Krampus here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krampus

Maybe because December, 21st is midwinter? Longest night, shortest day in the year and means pretty much to New Age Witches?
Thanks for clearing this. I was confused about the explanation because I only know Krampen as a sort of cake. I think that thing is unique to this region (as I never saw some everywhere else).

The writers probably confused the Krampus with Perchten, because those usually (should)/do not show up until midwinter till Twelfth Night. Everything before that date is not folklore, but only tourist attraction. Especially in recent years, Krampus and Perchten got mixed up for that purpose in so-called "Perchtenläufen".

I don´t know a cake called Krampen. The only other thing I call Krampen is a pickaxe. :p
Well, yeah, on the other side Knecht Ruprecht is totally unknown here. I know the name but I had to google how he looks like. :o

Funny, Grimm is the second US series were they use/mention the Krampus. The first being Supernatural....

so having re-watch the first two seasons i have a question: how do the Wesen see a Grimm?

We know Grimms recognise Wesen by looking at them, being thus able to discern what kind of creature they are, but how does it work the other way around?

Do Wesen also see a transformed face? do they smell them? do they just feel it in their guts? Can Wesen somehow read a Grimm-aura?

Nick said that he thinks wesen can sense he is a grimm. Nick has looked away at times when a wesen started to wolga and he didn't want them to know he was a grimm, so I guess they must be looking at each other. When his mother was here, both Rosalie and Monroe knew someone dangerous was in the house but not that it was a grimm - until they saw her, or rather, when she attacked Monroe.

So, I assume, Grimms look like themselves to everyone.

good episodes, though they are two separate episodes. So you can watch one and then wait to watch the other.

luckily we only have a short hiatus before it comes back and we're only on episode 8. hopefully when Grimm returns it will go non stop until it's season finale. i just wonder how the winter Olympics is going to affect it's schedule.

i also can't wait for Juliette to kick some Wesen Butt

He was pretty good in the second episode even with his friends telling him to kill Krampus

My guess is it will air 3 or 4 more episodes before the Olympics and then take a couple weeks off for the Olympics but NBC will advertise all its shows heavily for the Olympic audience

Interesting teaser from David Greenwalt in Ask Ausiello

Question: Can you use your considerable pull in the industry to make sure that Nick is shirtless and running on a treadmill on Grimm a lot more in the future? Thanks. –Ryan

Ausiello: Would that I could, but this’ll have to do instead: In the second half of the NBC drama’s season, Nick will “have to go from being the student to being the teacher,” executive producer David Greenwalt says. “He’ll be passing on some of the information he’s learned – but we can’t tell you to whom.”
