Synopsis for ""HAPPILY EVER AFTERMATH"
THE CLASSIC CINDERELLA TALE TAKES A VERY DARK TURN -- Nick and Hank are called to investigate the mysterious death of a wealthy matriarch, after her stepdaughter loses everything in a Ponzi scheme. Meanwhile, Juliette does some digging into the mysterious death of Nick’s parents in an effort to help him find closure.
Wondering how much we will find out about Nick's parents' death

The last episode was great. They spent the whole episode with the arc story, not another monster of the week. As much as I enjoy them, they should mix stand-alone with wider arc stories.
I loved how Nick was just a Grimm in this episode. I wonder what they said to Hank? One of the trio Hank, Juliette, Wu will have to know very soon. Especially Hank...it seems to me he would overlook an elephant in a room.
I felt sorry for Adelide as well. Nick was finally willing to "kill a monster" but I think this is even more cruel, especially after Adelide can´t go home now. I am curious about the debt her mother has to Renard and I am glad the amount of bad guys seem to grow up. Adelide could actually be a big help for Nick but not on a regular basis.
The Nick/Monroe/Rosalee thing works perfectly. I loved how jealous Monroe was when Nick called Rosalee in "The Thing with feathers" and how worried he was here.

As I said many times before, Grimm is getting better with each episode :)

Gracious, I hope so. It's quite a good idea, really, but I just watched ep 1 last night and was a bit disappointed. It seemed--contrived. I'll have to give it more time, I guess.

Grimm is awesome. Dont make me punish you. Bad girl wytch, bad!

On a serious note. The ratings went back up this episode. Those stupid breaks knock it down, but just bounces back.:D If this carries on through season 2, we should get a season three.:D Makes me laugh that people thought this would be a flop.:p

And i'll say it again, Wu waking up was one of my favourite parts in this episode.:p

I would think they wouldn't take the crazy explanation they are getting from Nick without being a bit suspicious.

Stick with the show. It becomes more and more awesome. Episodes like Queen Bee, Dance Macabra, and Organ Grinder all reveal how amazing it is. Love Sick was another high quality episode.

You can´t really judge by one episode. I have to admit, I was ready to give up after episode 4 (which I really didn´t like) but it got better and I think since episode 6, it got much better...and keeps getting better :D

Yeah, I think Hank is really slow :D I am curious how they explained it to him. I wouldn´t say this few episodes back but I actually think Wu will be the first one to know. He doesn´t seem to remember much but he was eating paper clips, coins and fiber after all...

what do you think, did Wu realize that Nick, Monroe and Rosalee were really in his appartment when he 'woke' up and he saw that he was in in underwear? Because the moment he rushed away to get his clothes, the trio disappeared to look for Hunk and when Wu came back, the appartment was empty .... maybe he thought he had a weird dream again ...

That's why I'm gonna give it more. Like I said, some shows that I have loved started out very slow to me--Robin Hood BBC, for example. I'll give it a few more eps and see how I feel at that point. :)

Caught up after having to record a couple of episodes when I missed one episode due to this idiotic idea broadcasters have with senseless breaks between episodes of up to 4 weeks sometimes. I can barely keep up with Supernatural with what they keep doing with that!!! :(

Building up to a nice climax with the 'war' that's coming!

I actually felt sorry for Adalind in the end of the last episode, but I'm happy that Hank is OK. Poor Sgt Wu, I'm really liking his character. This is what I like to see in a show, that we get to know the supporting characters too! One of the reasons why I like Grimm. Really like Munroe's new love interest too, she's a great addition to the team dynamic. Also love seeing another city on screen, there's some nice places in and around Portland.

I was glad when this show was renewed, some things are done right in the TV world!!! :)

I caught that too, and wondered if this was the case....

She was very concerned with how beautiful they should look and preoccupied with her appearance. Adalind could be, given what happened to her at the end when she was cast out, she looked so lost and scared, as if her innocence came back after Nick cast the evil out of her with his Grimm blood, perhaps that's why I felt sorry for her despite all she had done. If anything she looked even more radiantly beautiful as she walked away crying than she was whilst possessed by evil.

This started in the UK a few months ago. Definitely my favourite of the new US series, Monroe really makes the series and look forward to this programme every Monday evening.

'Cat and Mouse', a very interesting episode. I have one question, at the very end, what is the last sentence Renard says? I can't understand it. Thanks.

And finally we get some additional information. There are 7 royal families and often the Grimms have helped them  I am really wondering how Nick will react when he finds out about Renard.
And finally Nick starts to write his own Grimm book :D

Yeah, "Cat and Mouse" was incredibly full of information. I had to watch it twice. There were so many great moments with Nick by himself, then Monroe and Nick, and then Nick, Monroe and Rosalee. Nick found his balance as Grimm and detective and I think he is slowly crossing more into a Grimm world. It will be interesting to watch where he will definitely cross the line
I think they should get rid of Juliette or Hank or both, or give them something to do. They add nothing to the story. Maybe the element of Nick´s normal life but what did they do in this episode? Maybe they should include them more. Why not tell them? I can imagine Juliette being a part of the "gang". When she gets a chance to shine, she can be smart, initiative, opne-minded, I am sure she would understand.

Anyway, a great episode as always :)

scoop for the last season's episode

Based on what we've heard about the Grimm finale, fans might want to have a pillow handy while watching it so they have something to throw. "We might lose somebody," Russell Hornsby tells us. His costar Silas Weir Mitchell adds: "There's a lot of danger and there's a lot of cliffhangers. Like, [with] every storyline there's a perilous ending, so there's a lot of balls in the air and everybody's got something to worry about." Yikes! Consider us officially worried, too.

Finally got round to watching last Friday's episode. This show is just getting better and better, really enjoyed this episode.....

Nick really kicked reaper backside there! He's really taking on his role as a Grimm and what an intriguing change of tactics with sending the heads in the box to the reapers' boss as a challenge! He seems to be thinking less as a cop and more as a Grimm now, fascinating change in Nick.

Also loved how he's making more allies amongst the other creatures by treating them fairly, showing that not all Grimms kill everything that is not human.

Re the Cinderella episode:
I loved Monroe showing up in his VW Beetle with the unwieldy weapon to save the day!

Also, I'm thinking the Captain knows exactly what's going on with all these weird cases and is just enjoying making Nick sweat to try to come up with explanations.

Also, I think they dissed Beaverton tonight. Hey! I get my hair cut in Beaverton!!!

Also, I think that was real snow outside the window in that one scene as we had a freak snow storm about a month and a half ago.

Also, from watching this show I am getting the impression that everyone else in Portland has way the heck nicer houses/apartments than I do!

Klenotka

Yes, this Cinderella story makes all romantics cry because it completely ruins the "lived happily ever after" concept. We saw what happened *after* she got married and it wasn´t very nice. I liked that :D

Happily Ever Aftermath I like how they Grimmified the classic Cinderella story and made her out to be a spoiled brat instead. It made a nice change to the fairytale.

I like how the Bat-guy assumed that both Nick and Hank knew Nick was a Grimm. Though it made Hank think the guy was nuts when he told the truth I'm sure Hank will figure things out eventually; at least I hope he will. :)

big spoilers for the season's final episode

sure you want to know? The cliffhangers-filled episode features Elizabeth Mastrantonio (Law & Order: Criminal Intent) as Nick and Hank’s latest foe, the mysteriously named Woman in Black, and the answer to one of the season’s major arcs. That could spell trouble for one of the characters, who will meet with a rather, ahem, grim, fate. Meanwhile, Juliette’s job crosses over into Nick’s cases, Rosalie and Monroe grow closer, and Capt. Renard’s family is introduced.

Thats one sentence I never ever expected to hear in a American Series. I tried that phrase in spanish, People dont get it though. :P

Yes, yes, everybody loves Monroe. I like him, too but I personally find Nick more interesting. I also like Nick more. Especially with glimpses of his inner Grimm. I loved the talk with that psychiatrist in this episode and watching the promo to the season finale, you can see how excited he is about telling Juliette. There was a sparkle in his eyes suggesting that he actually enjoys it and is excited about all the stuff that will come.

Callista, as you're from Portland, can you tell me if there it does really rain that lot as it seems watching Grimm?YES! It rains ALL THE TIME!!!
Actually, it's beautiful here usually from June through September (we're getting a rare whole sunny week in May, though, at the moment). Then it rains or is at least heavily overcast pretty much October through May with possible snow around Christmas and for some reason a couple of nice weeks in January or February. It's usually above freezing most of the winter. Also, you'll notice that even though it's raining a lot, very few people use umbrellas. It's how we prove our manliness. :P
So, if they come back and start filming the end of this month, I'd guess the first half of season two will be pretty and sunny and the second half will be rainy.

One thing that was funny this week was Wu saying it was obvious what killed those guys. In the Pacific Northwest, locals would say it was obviously Bigfoot because there are a lot of Bigfoot sightings around here. (Look at this: http://www.oregonbigfoot.com/database.php) So when Wu then says it was a guy with bare feet carrying a wolf that makes it extra funny.

Grimm has become one of my favorite shows, so I'm relieved it's been renewed for a 2nd season. I had never heard anything about this show before I found it during its second episode. Although I liked that episode, I didn't expect much. Before I knew it, I was looking forward to new episodes each week.

I love the characters and love how the writers put their own spin on some some of the classic fairy-tales. I've also been impressed with the way they don't shy away from the darkness of those classics.

I saw the finale last night and I loved it. They were right about all the cliffhangers but it was nicely done. They didn´t really answer any questions but imagine Nick introducing his mom to Monroe, Rosalee, the Beavers...he made a name for himself in a very different way than he should as a Grimm and mommy probably won´t like it. I guess she faked her death? Why? She knew Nick will become a Grimm but maybe she relied on Marie? Maybe she didn´t know Marie died? I can´t wait to see what happens in Season 2! It would be also fun if Juliette became some creature - that would be an interesting development and certainly would give her character more depth.
Nick should have told Hank. He is losing it and I am afraid it is too late now when he is too paranoid. He may even go against Nick (who, let´s face it, isn´t normal either).
Nick´s explanation to Juliette was crazy (no wonder she thought he lost it) but I loved how excited he was. He obviously embraced his Grimm side and was very Grimmy in the end, probably even angry with everything that happened to Juliette, Hank and his parents (before his mom appeared).
There wasn´t enough Renard but I think he knew Nick had those coins and didn´t tell. I am curious what are his intentions.

I am so glad they will start in August so we don´t have to wait til September or October :)

Maybe we need to start an image only thread because I personally would rather read about the show and discuss without having to scroll through post after post of photos (that I personally could care less about. I don't get the whole thunking thing and see it as a way to just waste bandwidth and artificially inflate post counts)

Am I in a minority? A vote? Separate photo/graphic thread and discussion thread or mixed?

from 'Ask Ausiello' - spoilers for next season

Question: Have any good scoop about Grimm‘s second season? —Sue
Ausiello: Expect a Hooker cameo — T.J. Hooker, that is. We asked exec producer David Greenwalt to name his dream Season 2 guest star and, without hesitation, he replied, “Two words: Bill Shatner.” Playing who (or what?) exactly? “God only knows,” he shot back with a laugh. “Himself most likely!”

Question: Loved the Grimm finale. How big a role will the coins play next season? —Max
Ausiello: “Not a big role, but they do resurface,” responds fellow EP Jim Kouf. “And they have to be dealt with.”

Question: I think we can all agree that Grimm became a better show with Bree Turner around. Any chance she might join the regular cast next season? —John
Ausiello: I think there’s a very good chance, seeing as how it happened a month ago.

about the pictures, for me a separate thread would be okay if the pictures aren't liked in this one - just tell

I am not a fan of pictures either. I mean, I like looking at David Giuntoli and Sasha Roiz but right now news and spoilers and reactions are more important and I come back here to discuss, not look. It would certainly help if Grimm had its separate section in the forum.

I can't promise a separate section, that's up to Darren.

A second, active, thread can only help his decision. ;)

Because it's not as much based on the show's renewal or existence, but also how active that fandom is.

I'm all for a separate pictures thread. I like to look at pictures and the ones that have been posted are great, but at the same time I like to wander into a thread and just discuss the show after I've seen the episode and then do a little speculating from what I've seen so far. I avoid spoilers like the plague! I really don't want to know what's coming, I like to be surprised! :)

I love Grimm Nick! He's so much more attractive when he's like that. :) When the show first started I thought he was a bit of a wuss but closer to the end, I loved his strength and aggression.. I do worry, however, that the aggression will become a bad thing if it's allowed to develop throughout the entire season.. You know?

True - but there is a fine line between being a Detective and being a Grimm and I fear Nick will cross either line more than is necessary in the second season. :) Not to the point where he's "bad", I don't think, but just enough to create angst and drama.

Had a definite Grimm moment watching the Eurovision Song Contest last weekend. Son and I were doing our annual let's criticise all the songs in Europe and lament the fact that the UK comes last when we saw Norway's entry:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZaxIY1VAbM

As soon as we saw Tooji both of us immediately thought of Nick Burkhardt and that Tooji could be a younger brother or cousin.... We voted twice for Norway and were disappointed that he came last even underperforming Englebert for the UK - maybe if he'd had some Hexenbeast on stage it might have helped.......

I just watched the season finale.. While they left a lot of things open, I liked almost all that they did..

Renard Whump!!! Yay! :D Us whumpers are happy about that. Pluse there was a decent dose of Nick Whump as well - what with him punching through a glass window not to mention beating the crap out of the Asian guy (I don't remember his name :S).. So - yay! If I wasn't already writing a mulit-chapter fic, I'd totally try to write one that takes place after the finale. :D

I'm happy they brought Adalind back!!! I liked her; she was a good contrast to Juliette's sweetness. I just wish it was more than a brief scene but what are you gonna do? :)

The whole thing with Nick's mother, I (like others) find confusing. I mean, how are they gonna justify Marie becoming a Grimm - unless it's simultaneously passed down to the younger generations (so let's say their parents die then the sister, both, become Grimms) but still, that doesn't explain why the gene passed when Marie died; because there was still one Grimm alive. Not to mention - How in the hell does a mother allow her only child to believe that he's alone in the world save his Aunt??? How?! As a mother I can't comprehend that.

I gotta say, the appeal of delving into Nick's emotions shortly after this episode ends is very intriguing because you have got to know that he's hurt, shocked, angry and mostly all at his mother. Not to mention, we could also delve into the prospect of Juliette becoming a Wesen thanks to the cat scratch. :D Hm... ideas, ideas :P

i have a theory about how the grimm thing works. its just a theory no spoilers:

Nick's grandparents were both grimms. it mentioned i think in the pilot there were multiple grimm families (so its not insest). so when his one grandparent died, his mother inherited their grimm powers. than the other one died Marie got their powers. than when Marie died, her powers went to the next living family member (nick). so that's how both him and his mother are grimms.

as for his mother leaving him, i'm assuming that will come up next season.

So you think he has it from two different bloodlines which is why he can be a Grimm yet still have his mother be alive.. Plausible. Let's hope the writers make it that way otherwise, yeah... :)

amazon.co.uk listed finally Grimm on DVD and Bluray for the October 22nd, one of the few shows I'll invest because it gets at a second season and I liked the first episodes enough...

I can't wait to get Grimm on BluRay.. I'll admit that I'm waiting a bit because I can't afford it yet. :S

I'm with you on everything you said. I too watch on Hulu and I have no idea when the DVDs/BluRay come out, but I'm also not worried about it since I can't afford it ;)

Amazon.com is Region 1 and I *think* my computer could play it, I´ll wait for Region 2 release.

At these promotional Season 2 photos:

is Nick´s mum...does it mean she will be at least a semi-regular? Is she the "teacher" the creators were talking about? The possibilities with her presence are big, I can´t wait.

i should not have watched that. it looks so good!

memory loss, maybe she really won't remember that scene in the trailer. i do hope they don't have her forget everything though. because theres enough going on without juliet not remembering who she is.

‘GRIMM’: DISH ON ‘BIG HANK EPISODE’

Grimm has a lot of fun in store for its second season. But the casting new from earlier that made me cheer? Mark Pellegrino, who is popping up in the third episode this season playing an old friend of Hank’s (Russell Hornsby) and goes to him for help after his daughter goes missing. Oh, and he’s a coyotl. And when I last spoke with executive producers Jim Kouf and David Greenwalt, they teased that this “big Hank” episode will also touch on a larger theme. “He’s a guy who tried to break from his past and his past has come back to haunt him,” Kouf says. Greenwalt adds: “It’s a violent, gang-like past and he doesn’t want to raise his kid that way.”

While he’s only slated for one episode, Kouf says the character’s closeness with Hank definitely leaves the door open for a return. And though we might have to wait a while to see that happen, one thing we won’t have to wait for? Resolution to the season-ending cliffhangers! The pair shared that major cliffhangers will be dealt with in “the first couple of episodes,” which will result in Nick feeling “stretched to the limit.” “He’s overworked; he’s beat-up; he’s underpaid. He’s got the woman he loves in the hospital. He’s doing everything he can on all fronts,” says Greenwalt. Kouf jokes: “He doesn’t sleep much. We’re going to have one episode where Nick just sleeps the whole time.”

Meanwhile, did you see the awesome first look at Grimm‘s first baddie? If not, click here. If you’ve already seen it, allow me to continue sharing: I was close to sharing another picture from the first episode with you, but the problem? It was deemed too bloody! Executive producer Jim Kouf explains: “It was a massacre. [The monster] is not a nice guy. But he does have to eat. He’s not that different from you and me.”
