    Time to call Ghostbusters?

          from what we can tell the galaxy seems pretty devoid of life

            Given the fact that in "Gauntlet"
            Spoiler:
            the Drones blockade every star system with a gate in it, there seem to be a whole lot of them. I don't think it's a stretch to say they are a force to be reckoned with.

                I'd still like them to find the home world of the beings who built the drones.

                      Drones = von Neumann machines?

                      I dont think so though or they'd've completely converted that galaxy by now...and I dont think the Novans would have survived for 2000+ years, several hundred of which they were an interstellar-drive-capable species, without drawing the attention of the drones if they were that pervasive.

                      From what I got in this ep, the drones are just isolated to certain areas. Destiny hit one in the graveyard and woke them up, and it looks like the Novan colony they discovered this ep got their attention as well.
