    Did You Catch It?

Just so you know, they did show the Stargate SG 1 symbol for earth in the show.

    Spoiler:

It was shown in the diner Chloe and Scott's team hid in and it was without the circle above the upside down Chevron. But it's there. It was shown on a steel object.

I'm sure somebody's taken a screen shot of it to confirm it.

I'm not seeing it. You'll have to be more specific. There's also no reason to spoil the text.

I'm going to have to wait until the episode is on Hulu to be certain, but it looked like it was some sort of napkin holder that Scott moved.

If that's it, it's just a trick of the light and the angle of the camera.

              regards,
              G.

Yes, that's exactly it. And no, it is not a trick of light and shadow. However, upon close inspection of that image, I see they are just trying to be tricky. There is indeed a lozenge on it. But the light does reveal the symbol for earth. There is a circle above the shape.

It's a diamond shape. It's not the Earth symbol.

I agree. This is common on many diner napkin holders as seen here.

The mark above the diamond looks more like a smudge.

True, but the napkin holder only had the top of the diamond.. which gives the earth symbol..

The whole diamond is actually visible, but the lighting does make the top pyramid shape stand out. It's possible it was intentional.

I see napkin holders like that in my works cafeteria, it's your basic holder. Nice spot though, even though it's coincidental.

                            It's....a napkin holder...

Sorry to rain on anyone's parade here, but there's nothing special about this scene at all. All you're seeing is the top part of the standard diamond-sided napkin holder.

I've said it before... Some see a chess board, some see a checker board. I'd like to think it was crafty photography and a propmaster's inside joke.
