Why would/should he?

It wasn't -this- Eli that became a father/grandfather etc. It was the OTHER Eli. Given the difficulties of comprehending what has happened, when Eli showed her the ship (and use of the communication stones), explaining to her that she was a grandmother to ANOTHER Eli's son/grandchildren, would be just too much to handle.
