Even better news for NHL fans in the U.S.: This deal marks the first-ever national distribution of all Stanley Cup Playoffs games, including, for the first time, exclusive coverage starting with the League conference semifinals. Dick Ebersol, chairman of the NBC Sports Group, told assembled media at NHL offices in New York (plus others on a conference call) that every postseason game will be broadcast in entirety on NBC, Versus or "a major NBC Universal national cable channel."

I doubt it and my reasoning is when the Olympics are broadcasted and NBC uses their cable stations to show the less popular events they never use SyFy

Unless I missed it, they didn't specifically say skiffy. it's just as likely to be on bravo and other NBC owned channels that are more main stream. Anyone that watched March Madness knows that CBS distributed it all over the place...in those first 2 weeks, when there are 8 games going on simultaneously, they'd cut back and forth and if you were a team that no one really cared about or a blowout game, they'd just not air your game.
but there was a ruling that they had to air ALL the games in their entirity. so this year basketball ended up all over the place. TBS and other stations. NHL will likely be the same. Games on Bravo and other NBC owned networks

Yeah, it was weird enough when they started airing wrestling. I realize they are an affiliate or whatever but isn't that kind of what sports channels are for? Maybe they should start airing SG marathons on one of those. I bet that'd go over well.
