Since they are on Novus now and found a completly empty city, I will get really angry if they dont use this chance to stock up on everything possible. They should have most materials stored somewhere, just waiting for someone to find and use them.

That goes for most Food supplies, but they can get Metals, Limestone(very important to them at the moment) and everything else without expiration dates. They can get Food everywhere, but already harvested and refined Materials could help them out alot in the longrun.

New forms of crop seeds stored in grainhouses for further use of the hydroponics on Destiny, or just a turn a spare large room or 2 into a kind of wheat field(s) for bread.

Weapons, tech materials, computers (if they have them), personal jetpacks, information on planets they setup colonies on hoping for one of them to have flourished as an advanced society - hell, even the local porn could help here and there.

Longer, but 30 Years? Even frozen food has expiration dates. I kind of doubt that any food can survive that much time without being unconsumable.
